A week later...do you still hate Firmware 3.0?

I'll be the first one to admit I was furious when I saw what they did to the XMB whenever they launched 3.0. I hated almost everything they did (minus the sparkles). But really though, once you look at it, it's really NOT a big deal. Sure I might not LOVE some aspects of it, but it's not like the worst thing ever. I went from loathing it to just accepting it for what it is and it's not really a bad change to be honest. I was just wondering what everybody else was thinking now that it's been out for a week.

At the start, I really dislike the grey boxes in friends list and bigger font. But now, these are familiar to me so I'm comfortable with it.

However, if Sony changed them like it were before then that's great.

At first I didn't like it, but now I think it's quite good. The only thing I don't like is the no cross-game chat or party chat. But, other than that I like it.

I admit that I hated it before but now... I still can't stand it.

I liked it quite a bit from the get go. That being said, I haven't run into any of the problems everyone had either.

I haven't played Uncharted yet with the new firmware, but Bioshock froze on me the other day and I was :(

I like the fact that now on the internet connection test it now tells you your upload and download speeds :)

....just because now I can't play Uncharted without it freezing every 10 or so minutes. Everything else is nice.

I live in the UK, but I didn't get BBC iplayer. Thats my only big issue with it

It messed up my controllers R3 and L3 buttons for some reason. They rarely never work now. Other than that its the disappearing font when I dont move fast enough on the XMB. Idk the whole point of taking that off but why not incorporate setting changes with the update? They did for the theme but nothing else. So were all going to have to wait for another 3 months just to be able to switch some settings back to normal. Which I bet will be there next BIG FM upgrade lol.

I wonder when they're going to fix the freezing problems in several of the games...anybody heard anything? All I know is that they're working on it.

I think everyone is mad cuz the new avatars aren't free... and they're still not in the store yet. No complaints here, it actually loads a few seconds faster now, did anyone else notice that???

I can't stand looking at the friends list, it's horrible it needs to go.

I like being able to output audio to both the tv and speakers. And the connection test is a bit less of a hassle.

Strangely, i like it now. But i don't like the bugs in some games...

I love it. The morning after the DL, I woke up and cancelled the Viagra order.

To start with, I disliked it, mainly because of the grey boxes on the friends list, but now I've become used to it, it really doesn't seem that bad anymore. I've realised there are a LOT more advantages (faster in-game XMB, dynamic themes, BBC iPlayer) than the one minor thing, and to be honest, I'm not bothered what they do with the friends list now.

I really hate it due to me jsut buying a ps3 slim and uncharted and it constantly freezing so i cant really play any games on my ps3 due to it being the only one i own, anyone know any new info on when its gettin fixed?

Dont use the sparkle theme then. Im using the dynamic LBP theme and it makes the overall look to the xmb that much better.But i hate it overall knowing that i cant play Uncharted (that i just bought!)
