About Borderlands - Game Of The Year

I seen Borderlands game of the year edition on sale this week in my area. Says on the front "4 add on packs included". Are these 4 on the disc or a code to redeem online to get these 4?

It comes with a code to download the dlc expansions from the ps store, although i wouldn't recommend the PS3 version, it has an unpached bug, a horrible, god awful bug that randomly corrupts saves and prevents you from advancing in the game, if you wan't to see for yourself good luck, i'd get the PC version if i were you or the 360 version :).

Thanks for the info. Not online or anything, mainly play campaign modes and do everything there is to do and go to next game usually, even though dont play that much also. Never know if it comes with a code to download or comes on the disc. Won't do me no good then since not online. Fallout 3 game of the year, I asked a while back on here also and they said it was on the disc and not downloads for the 5 extras that was add ons. So I got it, but about to open it to make sure no code thing in it too, cause I have the normal fallout 3 game, got game of the year one cause came out after I been had normal one and was cheap so I could have the exgtras too. I wouldnt listen to that guy. Ive played it and im pretty certain the DLC is on the disc and although there is a bug if you go online and play with other people it wont corrupt your save. All it does is that some past missions come up again that you just cant complete. It is annoying but far from game breaking.Kurushio

I think the amazon page basically confirmed my concerns, i got totally shafted with borderlands game of the year edition, the newer print does include all of the dlc on the disc as it should

Is there a version number or different upc number or copyright date or something that is different maybe to show newer one from older one? Best buy has it this week for 19.99 here for game of the year. Wondered if something on cover or back of it could stand out to show if newer one or older one. Wish it would say on back or front the content is on disc or on a voucher one so people like me would know.

Also maybe the newer one has the bug that is mentioned above from others might be fixed some or still there on newer version also?

If anything, I'd assume the original production run copies would have the typical "*Broadband connection and PSN account required to redeem" message somewhere on the back

i am as well thinking about getting this game quite soon, but what i just read about the save corruption scares me. is it very common? thanks in advance if anyone replies

Nope not into the online stuff either. Never have been. I like the campaigns and all..start to finish 100% then go to next one here. Every system I had, not a single one has ever been connected online as I don't care for it. Wanted to play online I just get on computer or something. Main thing was finding out about if the add ons was on disc or a vouvher to download them. Uncharted 2 GOTY I know had a voucher, made GOTY useless for me. The add on pack and all the extras I couldnt get or use. Just play main story was all. Fallout 3 GOTY I just opened to just see if a voucher or not, and no voucher, on 4th page I think it even said the 5 add ons was on the disc. Nothing is needed or to be done, all is on disc. So one had it and one didn't now for me. So had me wondering about Borderlands GOTY mainly. I have Borderlands, but not game of the year version. I got it before the GOTY versions came out, same with fallout 3, so will put up the non GOTY one and play just GOTY one most likely on it. Look at the front cover, in the bottom left hand corner it'll say whether or not it's the voucher version.

Just searched for the covers for Borderlands GOTY Edition on internet. Only one I find is this one, and same pictures for other systems.

Only other one I seen was one with a red label cover. What it is about or anything I don't know. I loked at image on this one and still can't tell if vouvher or on disc. Am I overlooking were you say to look?

The multiplayer is pretty fun!

And to the TC the original GOTY edition came with dlc codes, the new one comes with the dlc on disk.

I was out today and near Best buy which had Borderlands GOTY Edition on sale. I asked them there..they didn't know..they said they thought it was a voucher and certain it was. I had an idea, I think a good one at that..

I don't buy nothing at gamestop myself, but thought hmm all there items are always open, even new ones. So I think I will go pay a visit to gamestop store and see inside the booklet and all see if a voucher or anything or says in booklet any detail. It said in booklet for one I end up getting like earlier post said if says "All 4" instead of "Token" then its on the disc. So one I have now is on the disc and no vouvher needed. Only voucher I got was a Duke Nukem Forever voucher, which that game has been out and they can't half give it away for 9.99 here now..lol

Thought I tell an update. I know now only use gamestop is for me now on is to find out info since all there stuff is opened there.

Yup just make sure like someone posted above on bottom in white writing it says "All 4" and not "Tokens for" if says "All 4" then its on the disc. Mine was 19.99 at Best Buy this week. Gamestop was 29.99 new. 10 dollars cheaper at best buy and new and same price as preowned. Like all mine new anyways. Think right now its free shipping at Best Buy right now too. Just checked and yup free shipping and on sale for 19.99 this week. Can't beat that, the price then dont even have to leave home to get it and not pay for shipping.
