does anyone know a store that sells ps3s that are backward compatable, cause if there not then I dont want one, PS3 games already suck enough.
ALL PS3s can play PS1 games. 20 gig, 60 gig, & 80 gig PS3s can play PS2 games. 40 gig can't play PS2 games but can play PS1 games. Don't troll! PS3 games don't suck alright. Besides you've probably never played one, so you can't judge.does anyone know a store that sells ps3s that are backward compatable, cause if there not then I dont want one, PS3 games already suck enough.

Ok. I was trying not to sound rude there, sorry. :( I hear people say bad things about the PS3 without actually playing them, so I thought you were one of those guys.Chaos, i had a Ps3 for 5 months my uncle let me borrow his cause he never played it.

but thank you for the help choas, if i buy th enew metal gear 80gb bundle do u think ps2 games will work with that?CursednaviNo problem. YES, the 80 gig MGS4 pack will play PS1 and PS2 games. Have fun with it! :D
One last thing, there is a rumor saying a firmware update will allow the 40 gig to play games later this year. Just a rumor, but something to think about. The MGS4 pack is a better deal though.Chaos_Bladez
A rumor is not worth spending $400 on. Especially when that rumor goes against everything Sony has said time and time again...
Also...considering they would have to individually program each and every PS2 game to work via software emulation on the 40gb PS3 due to there being no common hardware (transistors, EE chip, etc.) it is HIGHLY unlikely that the rumor is the truth.

I agree with you 100%, I just thought I'd throw it out there. :DThanks for the help choas, if i can find and mgs4 package i will buy it, thanks again:DCursednaviCool! Glad I could help! :D Just a quick question, what games did you play on the PS3? Some games do suck (as with all systems), but there are some great ones. I'm just wondering if you aren't picking the right ones! :D
I played mainly Resistance and Rachet, the were good games just that most of the oher good games were for 360 and 360s online is much better especially with in game dashboard.CursednaviThose are great games and you are right, in game dashboard is pretty cool. :D I like the online there too. What about Uncharted? That game was an underrated jewel.
Well i didn't want to spend to much money considering, i couldnt keep the ps3, but might like uncharted, its made by naughty dog, I played all the orignal crashes when i was younger and played the jak gamesCursednaviDownload the demo when you get the PS3. There's a bunch demos on the store of good games, try them out if you can.

Here's where I'm trying to figure out if you're generally curious if you're just trolling the ps3 forum. If you actually want information, no the 40gb ps3 is not BC. The 80gb one is but that's hard to find as it was pulled from shelves and then released as a MGS4 bundle. But, if as you say "PS# games already suck though", why would you spend a $500 to play PS1/2 games when you can find a ps2 for around $100 and play those games?
