About Buying PS3 (hard drives)

any advice on what kind of ps3 to buy? what games are good for the ps3, is it worth it? i DO have a xbox360.

one more thing, if i buy a 40 gig ps3 and put a better hard drive in, would i then be able to play ps2 games?

No ps2 games on the 40gb

I updated my 60gb o a 320 hard drive.. its really easy to do, all you need is a 2.5inch sata HDD

i have no idea about changing ps3 drives.....

but i'd go with the 80gb, just because you never know if you'd need it.

i have both the 360 and the 60gb ps3, so unless the game is an exclusive, the decision time will be brutal.

so to start, you should get Resistance.

i always thought the games looked and felt a little bit better on the 360, but everyone knows that will change soon.

if anything, use the ps3 as a bluray player.

i know that 40 gigs cant use ps2 games, but if i bought the 40 gig then upgraded it would i be able to play ps2 games then.

also yea i was thinking of getting resistance: fall of man, uncharted: drakes fortune and/or heavenly sword. Metal Gear Solid seems like a fun game but i havnt played the other ones and iv heard its very story based soo.

No you won't be able to even if you upgrade.

40gb PS3 isn't capable of playing any PS2 games, just PSOne so go for th 80gb.

Do this:

Buy the MGS4 edition PS3 from walmart and you will get a $100 gift card. Use the card to buy a game and the MGS essentials collection for the PS2. Play the Essentials collection and enjoy all the Metal Gears. Then you will be able to enjoy MGS4 that came with the system.

I second that recommendation for mgs essentials. I just beat it today and it was amazing. And for the other game might i recommend uncharted or warhawk?

is metal gear that good that i shud go buy the other ones to play the newest one? how long wud it take to beat the older ones?

also like i said heavenly sword, uncharted and resistance im looking at :P
