Can I use any USB-MiniUSB plug to charge my Sixaxis or do I have to stick with only the one the PS3 comes with cause it would suck to have to charge multiple controllers but only have one cord...

um the whole point was to avoid opening up a unused cable that is worthless so im not out of money since there is bound to be someone here who would know....I just dont want to have to use one cable and have to recharge one controller at a time if I dont have to....

I don't know if you can use a actual charger that you plug into the wall, but I hooked up my mp3 player cord to the computer and it charged fine.  Also I have windows vista and when I hooked the controller up, it installed it.  I didn't try to play computer games with the controller, but I shall in the future.

I know what you mean... Charging one after the other gets annoying. Anyway... I think it works.

LOL
Fact is that as soon as I charged the first time my SIXAXIS I put the PS3 cable close to another one...
So sincerely I dunno which one I used yesterday but it worked... I dunno since I can't seem to find a PS logo on the cable...
I suppose it's a simply USB-Mini USB cable so it doesn't matter if it's SONY...
It would be a really bad move if you need their cable since it's not included when you buy a new controller... :)

they should just include the cables since they prolly are dirt cheap to make and lol-BVKing-your userbars pretty much all apply to me except for the C64 one lol

Too bad the C64 was a great machine !!! ;)

Oh... I had only the Sega CD... never bought the 32X... though also the CD hasn't been used that much... ^^"
Two things are missing from that list: the Gamegear from SEGA (cause I couldn't find an userbar at the time I did my sig) and the GameBoy (and all his family GBC, SP, etc.) simple cause I put the DS...
Dunno why but I was attracted only by the handhelds from Nintendo before the Wii... :)
Ohhh I had a VIC20 too !!! ahahah

It's just your run of the mill USB mini cable nothing fancy or a Sony only PS3 product so if you want a longer cable go buy one.
