Not entirely true. Their LCDs were supplied by S-LCD which was a joint venture between Sony and Samsung with Samsung owning 51% and Sony 49%. Nowdays it depends on the model and region that they are sold in. Some models are made in Japan, others in many different countries under many different companies.
