About the 40gb & the Starter Pack 60gb!!!

I heard that a Big Bang Announcement is on the way in Oct. 12 but they're already beginning the sales of the new SKU I believe Monday or Tuesday. So was there a spoiler early on or are we (US) still getting an announcement this Friday?

I heard that the new 40gb is $399. And the 60gb could come with 2 games and a controller but no price point but in Euros. I wanna get the 40gb but I heard rumors that you can't upgrade the HDD because it is a "fixed model" or something of that matter. Here's my questions:

1)Is it Wifi?

2)BC?

3)Card Reader? What uses were those before for consumers?

4)I heard there are 2 USB slots. Is that new? And what uses come from that other than maybe charging your controller?

Don't know much about the tech stuff so I will appreciate your answers and plz don't flame. I am trying tofigure this stuff out so I can get one,finally, next Saturday.
