About to crack open Uncharted 3, what should I expect?

I had a total blast playing Uncharted 2, and after beating it I was rather anxious for another wild adventure. I just received Uncharted 3 from Amazon, but haven't opened it yet. What should I expect from it as far as gameplay and new content go? Is it any better than Uncharted 2 or is it pretty much the same game? It seems like it'll be the same, anyway, and I'm sure the story will be similar but original all the same. I already know what to expect from the graphics and controls, but I just want to keep my expectations modest so I don't set myself up for disappointment. Anyone who played this game and Uncharted 2, I'd be happy to hear your thoughts.

In other words: pretty consistent with the series thus far.

Expect a fun game. There's alot of talk comparing U3 to U2 but I loved both of them, along with Ucharted 1. If you're and Uncharted fan my guess is you're going to really enjoy Uncharted 3

I was a little disappointed at 1st. I actually enjoyed it more on my second playthrough & i have a feeling you'll enjoy it more on your second playthrough. It is a better game than Uncharted 2, but it has a different pace to it & so initially you may feel dispoainted as did others but thats just nostlgia clouding your judgment.

The only thing UC2 has over UC3 is the giant & epic platforming puzzle sections. The puzzles in UC3 are very tiny & small, closer to UC1 than UC2. Besides that the game is thrilling. The boat section & the plane section are some of the best gaming experiences i've ever had.

My first playthrough of the game I felt letwdown. It was still good but it fell short. However with my 2nd and 3rd playthrough I really enjoyed it, more so than UC2. Now it's my favourite game which is why you see a picture of it in my sig.

Uncharted 2 - Better story, better pacing, smoother shooting mechanics

Uncharted 3 - Better sound design, better visuals, better puzzles, better hand to hand, better multiplayer, better setpieces, better co-op

With that being said... it's sort of the point. They should have done more to UC3. It honestly felt un-completed.

If you are running update 4.0 I would not expect it to run

U2 is better, but U3 is still pretty awesome. So ENJOY!:cool:

Dissapointment.

Expect a letdown after 2.

The story is all over the place. It almost seems like they made the story up as they created set pieces. Instead of laying out the story and then making set pieces to fit the story. Look I made a huge ship level...how can we write that into the story.

It's a good game, just no where near as good as U2 was.

i did not enjoy uncharted 2 but i love uncharted 3. if u enjoyed 2 u will love 3 because it is better than 2 in every possible way

It's pretty much the same as far as story progression, gameplay, adventure, peril and insanely awesome action stunts are concerned. It's an amazing game, but not as brilliant as Uncharted 2 imo.

you better play the multiplayer, that's all i gotta say
