So stop saying the gameplay is the same ... cause it's not

- You can't call recruited assassins to take out your enemy

- you can't have a constantkillstreak

- you can't send assassins all over europe/russia on assignments

- you cant shoot cannons / burn down towers ...

- you cant ride horses inside the city

... UNLESS I missed something in AC2 ...

I heard it tells you what has happened previously in the story at the beginning is it true?

MuddyMilkshake

a BRIEF summary ... not exactly to detail since you meet up with some of the same characters that don't get mentioned ... and PS3 has the exclusive Copernicus missions (OUTSTANDING sequences) ... so you learn just enough at the beginning to let you play through it, but you'll eventually want to go back and play through AC1 and AC2 if you haven't just to get a BETTER understanding of what's going on

The core gameplay is the same, you use crowds to get close to your target then assassinate them is the same as AC2, you have the wrist blade and blah blah blah. but that doesn't mean that there aren't added game mechanics (as you mentioned). Although most people who say ''uuuuggghhh the gameplay is the same uggghghgh'' don't know the difference anyway so you can ignore them :D

I highly doubt it's the same game, im sure Ubisoft is more original then that. However from what ive seen it still kept the core gameplay, and there is nothing wrong with that.

However, Assassins Creed 1 alone was pretty boring about half way through, it just got way to repetitive. Then Assassins Creed 2 comes along, the gameplay was far superior and you got to play more of the assassin, however it too was very repetitive.

So tell me, why should I expect Assassins Creed Brotherhood, a clear milking tactic by Ubisoft, not to be repetitive like Assassins Creed 1&2?

Obviously I do not need you to list facts, and im sure Brotherhood is fun, but for ME PERSONALLY I would have gotten bored by this point(within my walkthrough).

I guess it all depends on how you play the game ... you can either go through it and do everything differently, or go through it doing the same thing over and over ... The people who play online can tell the people that just go through it and the people who actually think through it ... I guess I'm just sick of seeing the same excuses from the people who, I assume, fly through it hacking and slashing - OF COURSE it's the same then ... and that's not how the game is intended to be played

I always try to be stealthy, trust me I love being sneaky. I understand what you're saying too mate. Have you ever played Splinter Cell Chaos Theory? I remember playing co-op with a pal, and I swear my friend does not know the definition of stealth, lol.

I liked Splinter Cell better than Metal Gear solid, but once I heard convictionw as only on XBOX, I decided to boycott the series forever ... FOREVER (PS3 fanboy and I know it) and I don't like the Metal Gear series anymore

I love history and I love stealth games, so Assassin's Creed was my automatic favorite from the get-go by default

Hey, I never been a huge Splinter fan but if I was I would boycott it as well. Oh well, I heard Conviction was pretty bad, it was apparently not like the old ways of SC. If you're into stealth, you should try some tactical shooters. Yes, I know in those games you're not some badass ninja/assassin/robot thing, but they are still fun :).

Ratchet & Clank has the same CORE

MGS has the same CORE

- EVERY SINGLE SERIES EVER MADE HAS THE SAME CORE! - that's avery poorexcuse

I do not like hack n slash games :(. I will buy GOW3, but I RARELY play games like that. As for MGS, what really drives me is the story, and I can't get enough of that type of gameplay soo >_>.

No dur, it's not AC2. Yet as far as the singleplayer goes it's way to similar to feel different enough. Not that I don't like the game (I have the CE and everything) also the multiplayer helps a lot to fresh it up.

Yeah the combat got a revamp but not particularly huge but seems alot more fluid and better when surrounded and they really make sure you know the changes the amount of times you're surrounded lol. Im only about an hour into the game but i'm liking it so far.

It came out fast so people think it is going to be the same story as Guitar Hero or COD where its the same game reskinned, but thats not the case. I think AC2 and Brotherhood are kind of the same way GTA 3, GTA:VC and GTA:SA were, they use the same gameplay but made a new game. Multiplayer in Brotherhood was enough for me to buy it, and Im loving it.

Not at all, it all depends on the person. For Assassins the combat is just not strong enough to hold out. But for me it's not just the combat, not every game has repetitive missions over and over again, followed by a very simple combat mechanic, and to top it all off you have the story.

Again my opinion.

the basic premise and structure is mostly the same. Now, that's a good thing because AC2 was freaking awesome.

Best MP ive played on a console in a long time, its unique and it takes a brain. I would like to see more developers making MP like this instead of just run and gun.

For me? Metal Gear, Oblivion, Demon's Souls, Dragon Age.

For me Assassins was repetitive, I can deal with the combat but my goodness, doing the same side missions over and over (luckily in AC2 you did not even have to deal with the horrid racing mission things or w/e they were). Sadly by that point, AC1 bored me to death and the only thing that kept me playing AC2 was the story (which is terrible).Again IMO, but alot of people would agree with me that AC1&2 got pretty damn boring about half way through.

It's OK. Nothing spectacular and feels too much like AC2. Except the beginning was a chore to play because for some MIRACULOUS reason Ezio is 'back to basics' with some of his skills.
