On gametrailers, a guy that is working on PSN said that they will have some sort of achievement system like the 360. Can't really find the link but yeah.. kinda cool and adds more game value.
Nope, all the major things in Home will also be on the XMB because Phil Harrison stated that Home is not for everyone therefore they are also giving access from the XMB I don't know how they will do it or what they will do, but they are doing that as well.

I am sorry i should expand what i mean is that achievements are pointless all they do is make you buy crap burger king points and games that suck just so you have have more points than other people.

Its not a POINT system though, they are trophys to show off. nobody is gonna give a flying rats ass if you have all the burger king trophys. i would think less of you actually...probably would defriend you on facebook...just saying.
What would be cool is when your in home you can see your trophies, for example Heavenly Sword, but when you wallk up to that specific trophy and press X, it will give you a list of what you achieved in that game.
I think it would work better if they just whored out and made a points system like the 360NaiKoN9293
And I think it will be good when Microsoft whores out and makes an app like Home on their next console.
Anyway,I liked how The Darkness had an achievement list and I liked to see what I had done so I think the idea would be slick. I also think that with Home visual achievements will be better because it's there and you can see what you have accomplished.

And alot more work involved to see it. The points system was put into place because its easy to see and everybody immediatley knows what it means. Trophies work a bit differently, the person has to physically check them out am I right? Sounds like a hassle more than anything.
