I keep hearing for games like FF Dissidia and Monster Hunter Unite which are ad hoc only that you can actually go online but you need a PS3 to do so. Is this true? If so how does this work exactly?
There are two ways. One is to make a Japanese Account on your PS3, go to the store, and find an app which is translated into "Ad Hoc Party" and lets you play Ad-Hoc as infra. The other is to perform a fairly complex procedure to set up your router to make the PSP think it's playing Ad-hoc, but it's actually play online. The second method is Xlinx something, I forgot about it. :p

Didn't know about that ps3 one.. I wanna try it now :D Thanks. and to Crossel777 if you own a ps3 it's actually the easiest way. Or get Xlinx, search it on your computer for tutorials on how to set it up.
