Advice for a soon-to-be-PS3 Owner

Any advice? I know about YLOD, Ive been to the Game recomendation thread alot of times, and I Know most. Is there anything else I should know? Im buying a used one that is like new, and is purchased a few months, and Im pretty sure it doesnt have BC on PS2 games. If anyone can help me out, much apreciated.

P.S. im not a noob just because my Account is level 4. I have been a fan of sony since PS1, I just didnt ever get PS3 because it was so expensive.

get a psn account. you get to download a whole bunch a demos and the online is free. plus the ps3 has built in wi-fi and you can use any blue-tooth device on it.

Keep it clean, dust free I mean. It doesn't usually have an over heating issue but still (at least mine doesn't). Not sure what else to tell you honestly.

Honestly? If you're getting a PS3 without BC then you might as well get it new.

If you have an HDTV, go for an HDMI cable. If not, thenI suggest getting a small maybe even 26-36" HDTV they're pretty cheap, and then getting an HDMI cable. Because you wont be able to enjoy some amazing graphics if you don't go for the HD.

Is going to fail?Its has no scratches, cables, and a controller. yeah I rather take 315, over 399(+Tax which is probably 50 dollars)

take care of it and enjoy and support sony....yet try not to become a fanboy...it just causes problems with our next door neighbors....also stay away from system wars....its amazing what people will say about their systems to make it sound like its the ultimate thing to have...

There's something more satisfying about buying a new console. I guess it's because u know that it's yours. But I digress. When u do get a PS3, just take good care of it, clean off the dust and keep it in an open space.

1. I dont live in america 2.paying it with no shippin there is pretty much like paying for it in stores. Plus I dont have 450.

I agree, there is a feeling of getting it new that you cant get when its used, but Im not the type of guy who goes and buys something that can be bargained for at a much cheaper price. I like my products low priced, and Very good-to amazing condition.

Spend your money wisely and save as much as you can... you'll be needing it for buying games... old, new and upcoming. got an HDTV/LCD TV? if yes, get an HDMI cable.
