Advice on headsets/mics

HI,

Just getting used to playing online games for first time ever, we are thinking about getting a headset.. I live in UK. Anyone know what to buy? I have been into my local game shops and I have been told sony havent made mics/headsets yet?

what shall I do?

Just get any bluetooth headset. 

HEre you go, take your pick.  These are UK stores too.

It's supposed to work,  since it's Bluetooth.  But i'm sure some Bluetooth headsets work better then others..

That will work perfectly. Just make sure you have your phone off or out of range when you use the headset for the PS3. If your phone is in range it will pair with that first. 

I have gone into ps3 menu screen and I am trying to 'register bluetooth device'............my bluetooth headset is on but the screen just says scanning..............................how long should this take, its been like it for about 5 minutes! is it not going to work for me? :( danianddan

hold the talk button on the headset till the light stays on. then the ps3 will be able to read it. After it does enter 0000 as the passcode. 

enter 0000 on what? my headset doesnt have numbers? sorry to be abit dim. Do I go into the main menu screen of the ps3 and go into register bluetooth device? thanks for all your helpeveryone! : )danianddan

after ur headset registers select it on the screen then 4 little number things should pop up then enter 0000 and it should pair up ne more ?'s message me on here or on the PSN PSN ID DSTX08

I have put splinter cell in but i cant hear anything in my headset? I can hear peoples voices through the tv though? weird....please help..........danianddan

you have to go back to settings...accessory settings.....audio device settings. Change the input device to your headset while your headset is turned on. The output device will automatically change when you do this.

Yea it is your name on your friends list on the ps3 oh and SC is splinter cell....my bad shoulda specified

I suggest any Jabra or Plantronics

(Plantronics explorer 320  (around $20-$30) )

and probably some Sony Ericssons
