Advice plz on Midnight Release

I plan to wait until wesnday night to buy the MGS4 bundle @ gamestop. Any advice, my first time "campin out". What time should arrive? Can't wait to get a ps3.

Or wait until thursday because demand is overhyped.

Gamestop will charge you an extra $60 for the MGS blu-tooth headset. You don't have a choice.

Yep you're right. You can either buy the blu-tooth headset separately or with the bundle but the pricing will still be the same. Now depending on whether your local Gamestop/Ebgames are doing a midnight launch or not, you should be there by 12.

I'd like to know for sure if the stores will include the headset or not. If that's the case I'll just go to Best Buy._Classic_Gamer_

I don't think they will. These bundles are usually just for the online store kind of like the many Wii Bundles that appeared on online but you could indeed buy a Wii individually in the actual store.

However, if you are unsure, just pick up the phone and give your local gamestop or ebgames a call to be 100% sure

None of the Gamestops/EBs around here are doing a midnight release. I'm kind of surprised. They did a midnight release for GTA IV._Classic_Gamer_

My advice is get there ASAP. Seriously, I don't know if you are in school, work or wth you normally do, just get there ASAP to get the best spot possible.

I plan to scope out the stores late Wednesday night to see if there are any lines forming. Hopefully there won't be, and I'll go back at like 6 or 7am on Thursday. The stores open at 10am.

I don't know why Gamestop isn't taking preorders. I've preordered every other console with them before.

Does anyone think that gamestop or bestbuy will have many copies available on the 12th if I didnt reserve a copy? Im talking about the game, not the bundle...hillelslovak

If you didn't preorder the game at Gamestop/Ebgames then I doubt you'll be able to get a copy. However, major retailers will have more than enough copies.

Hopefully, they should. Maybe the LE won't be in great abundance but there should be enough copies of MGS4 to go around.

I am sure there will lots of games available, possibly even the LE copies. It's the bundles that are in scarce supplies.

Of course, I'm talking about the one for EB Games/GameStop.

I'm still going to be at our launch center. Except it'll be better. We'll have tacos and chips :P

I'm still going to be at our launch center. Except it'll be better. We'll have tacos and chips :P

If you want to be 100% sure to get the bundle if you know they'll be selling them at a midnight launch, then go as soon as you wake up or at least start scouting out what the situation is at the store at that time. If you go and you see no one, you can just come back at a later time in the afternoon to start camping or you could just keep checking the place out at certain times until you notice that a line is forming and then start camping.
