anyone else looking forward to this title? i personally never watched the show, saw the movie, or read the manga. but the artwork and gameplay have me pretty intrigued. seems pretty original. and if they get sam jackson to lend his voice to the game...that would be awesome! it got some pretty good attention when it first went into development. but ive heard nothing since. although its not a particularly "new" title. it is new to the gaming world. does anyone think this game will succeed? or is it another crossover flop?
Yes! I can't wait for this game! I'm a fan of Japanese sword games like Tenchu, Way of the Samurai, and Bushido Blade. These 3 games are some of the best games ever! Hehe!

Wait...Afro Samurai was a show, movie, and manga? LOL! I thought it was just a game! Now I have to look for dvds of it!
EDIT: I just searched about it. It's only 5 episodes. I'll just going to download it. :)

I only just finished wathing those 5 episodes (collectors edition DVD if i'm not mistaken). Brilliant manga. I had them on my PS3 and wathed them over remote play whenever I couldn't get to the TV because of my girls soaps. Afro Samurai > Eastenders any day.
I have yet to see a succesful samurai game and it certainly wont be happening in a anime spinoff they are just marginally higher than movie-games on teh suck-o-meter
edit: I take back what i said, brave fencer mushashi(PS1) was a good samurai game :D
definately looking forward to this, ive just been watching the anime, and noticed OBEYs got some paste-ups strewn throughout the episodes, you think theyll have these ingame? Let the limbs fly my friends.
Also, i hope they keep to the same tastey style of the anime, i like it when the artist strays from the pointy chinned spikey haired hero. it needs the same 'drawn' feel that okami had, that would be good. Im really just hoping it looks and flows like the afro samurai universe should do.

Im a sucker for anything that looks good, and Afro Samurai is beautifully drawn. and for that reason i highly recommend you watch the show. its good, honest.
