Ok here's my problem.

I had some videos on my psp, but then i took the videos off. When i tried to put the very same videos back on again the psp screen reads "please wait", the psp disconnects itself from my PC and when i look at the videos section of the psp it says that the file is corrupt. The videos are all mp4 format, and my memory card is a sony 1G magicgate card.

I've searched all over the internet for a solution and cant seem to find one.
Any help would be very appreciated

:)hehe the problem is the mp4`s format is not the PSP`s.
the mp4`s format is have about 10 types,hehe...
you can use some software to converted the video for your PSP,likes Total Video Converter , PSP MOVIE CREATER and WinAVI MP4 Converter.they are all good.

Are you sure that the converter actually converts to PSP format? It can't just be mp4. The PSP only understands certain resolutions. It also matters what PSP firmware you compile it for for. If you encode for 1.5+ then it must go into one of the /MP_ROOT folders. If you encode for 3.3+ then you must put it into the /VIDEO folder.

Do you know if Total Video Converter actually understands 3.8? My commercial encoder doesn't. I still have to put those movies into the MP_ROOT folders. I'm currently using PSP Video 9 again because it does understand 3.8. If you still get the weird, number/chars filenames then the movies aren't able to run in the /VIDEO folder.

I tried putting them in the MP_ROOT with the M4V names but it still didn't work

I came up with an error message
"Cannot copy M4V20001: Cannot find the specified file. Make sure you specify the correct path and file name"

And then all the folders disappear and so does the psp off my computer
