I just made the purchase this morning as I have been waiting patiently for a price drop all year. I am very excited to finally play the game. I know there were other forum members waiting for this game to come down in price as well, in particular Monkeyspot. I chose the slow, free shipping so I won't be on for about a week. However from what I hear the game had a dead MP about a month after launch. Hence why we should group up if interested in the game. I hear the maps are rather small so I am sure we can have a good time with 4-6 people. I have my buddy on the fence and I think he may grab it as well.

dude i loved the alien movies and predator movies not the avp movies and alien 3 and resurrection
and i even loved the comics
i did play the pc games a few times they were pretty good but could be better
reading and experiancing are two completely different things

Well, I guess I will have to report back after a few gaming sessions. We have the same opinions on the films though. The new Predators film was garbage though IMO. I would like my $10 back from the cinema on that one.

It's a very fun game, has it's problems, but the brutal finishing moves that you can perform with both Predator and Alien are the highlight of the game.

You're correct, SNES, we were discussing the game over the summer I believe.

But I played (and still have, installed on the third laptop since purchase) the PC game from the late 90s or whatever, so that's why even though it has teppid reviews and horrendous player feed-back I really feel the need to play through it before I croak... so against all reason I too, feel compelled to purchase it at some point. I'm certain everyone here is absolutely correct in their warnings and such, and I appreciate all of the red lights and "Turn Back NOW" posts...

Haha, yeah man. I am not expecting a pile of gold. I appreciate the warnings as well, but stamp Rebellion and Sega on the box and give me source material that I love and it is hard for me to ignore it. You should friend request me on PSN and if you do ever get around to picking it up, I will have a copy and we can get down.

I will not excuse him for such stupidity. That's basically saying to the gaming industry, hey guys! We don't care if a game is as bad as E.T as long as it looks nice!

It is much more polite to respectfully disagree. We are here to help and learn from each other. The video game industry is formed around opinions, and consensus on these opinions is what will make a game sell a 1,000,000 copies or 100 copies. There will always be those people who hate a blockbuster title, and then there will be people who love a game that was critically demolished. Please just show some respect because your opinion holds no more weight than anyone elses.

Seriously, you don't need to insult someone based on their prefs in gaming. I'm sure there are more than a few games in your collection we would all have some fun roasting you for. You don't need to apologize here in this thread because it's obvious you feel cornered and perhaps a bit sheepish for being so overbearing, but in the future you should take a breath and consider the user agreement put forth by this website and not insult other users. I am not standing up for anybody. Namecalling simply leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I love this Gamespot community and I just want it to be a better, more respectful place. Many great posters have left this site due to immaturity and senseless posting.
