All of my content on my PS4 is locked- all of my digital games, my Amazon Prime, Hulu, Netflix and even my YouTube app. It tells me only this user can use this content and then it lists my user name, but it isn't letting me. I tried activating as primary PS and it gave me an error. I tried to restore my licenes and it is giving me an error. I heard there was maintence going on, but I thought it was over.

well, if someone hacked your account and made it the primary account on their ps4, you cannot reverse it.... you can reset your devices (ps3 and ps4) on your psn account through sony entertainment networks' website every six months, you can try that...

Hopefully you weren't game sharing with randoms.

One of them could have taken your stuff and ran.

Well I got my stuff back and I figured out why. Apparently Sony is flawed- if my PS4 is not the primary account, during a PSN outage or maintence, all of my content will become locked which includes digital games, and apps i.e. Amazon Prime, Netflix etc. I have since made my PS4 the prime account so when this happens again I will be able to play my stuff, but Sony doesn't make things easy. Both my PS4 and PS3 are registered with Sony yet they will lock my content on one of them if their Network is down. Makes total sense right? Wrong.

Seriously, what is wrong with you?

That's the exact way it should be. You say that a console is yours and all your stuff works on that console.

For some reason you think that's a bad system why?

...He did already said why. I dont think he needs to answer it again. Whether you agree or not is up to you.

No, he explained what the situation was and that it was wrong.

I'm asking why.

If I purchase something its mine, I don't care if its digital or physical it is still mine and because it is mine there should be absolutely no restriction on when I can use the content. That's dumb. Also, it locked my Amazon Prime app, my Netflix App, my Hulu Plus app and my YouTube app. Those accounts have nothing to do with my PSN, and I pay a monthly fee on top of paying my PS Plus fee to use those. Sony has NO right to restrict the services that I pay for. What if Microsoft locked all of your programs on your computer when their online services (not the internet) went down? People would be pissed off and rightfully so. If you can't understand why I am mad that there is no reason for me to explain further.
