I love APF 2K8's gameplay! It is the same gameplay that made the NFL 2K series the favored football title over Madden for alot of people. it just feels more like football to me! I have NCAA 2008 from gamefly and wile its a good game, the gameplay just feels stale to me and Im beting Madden is the same.

Always hated 2k's gameplay when it came to football games. I remember back in the day of 2k3 and 2k4 you could just keep juking all the way down the field and never get tackled. The other team would dive into you and if you were juking at the time they'd just fall to the ground and you'd keep going. That's awful.

Now it looks like they've corrected some of those problems, but as a football junkie who's played the game at both the high school and college level (not the video game, the actual game lol) gameplay and realism is very important to me.

If I run a fade route against a cover 2, I should be able to hit that first window but not bomb deep unless the opposing teams safety is caught out of position. If I try to juke the other teams middle linebacker but are too early or late, I should get my head taken off.

im in the same boat as you bro in terms of playing college football too. trust me, the realism is there for this game, its amazingly responsive and movements are seemless

Just picked up All-Pro Football 2k8, havent played it yet, but after hearing that you cannot create a team in NCAA, i had no choice but to pick this one up. Although realism is a factor for me, i care more about custimization when it comes to my sport games...oh and I also played football in school Rick :P Outside Linebacker...what were you?

I was somewhat disheartened by the omition of create-a-team since I used to get stupid with it (last year I made the West Canaan Coyotes [Varsity Blues] and Miami Sharks [Any Given Sunday] and this year could have been the team from Friday Night Lights lol). But its all good. I'll probably rent 2k8 just to see what advancements they've made.

Anyways, in high school I played QB and DB and in college I just played QB.

Having played both, I really think it's a tossup. To me All Pro feels sluggish, but I guess that's what it feels like just because I've been playing Madden/NCAA all these years and forgot how it played

I voted for NCAA, but I think I'm gunnaskip all Football games this year(even though I love them) because they are inferrior on the PS3. Only running at 30FPS. If you want my money next year EA you better make the PS3 version equal.

I hpe so because I can notice the difference and it makes no sense for the Playstation version to be inferior... especially when it's th same price!!! You might as well make NCAA an exclusive XBox title if they are gonna do us like that!

I just got NCAA 08 today, and "Campus Lengend" mode is amazing. You create a highschool team and play throught the highschool playoffs, then you need to get recruited by a college team. People complain about the 30fps, but I do not notice any lag, or slowdown. Its just a great football game. I might rent 2K8, for the customization.

Hmm within the IGN review of NCAA he mentions Madden on PS3 running at 60fps. I guess time will tell.

I thought they said that Madden for the the 360 was the only one running at 60 fps. As an owner of both platforms (all 3 really) but really only wanting it on the PS3,I'm upset, and agree with the boycott. I think I too might skip it this year.

IGN

Page 3, Paragraph 5

Now, while the PS3 version includes the same Sixaxis controls that were found in the launch version of last year's Madden for the PS3, the largest technical flaw that crops up has to be the fact that the game doesn't run at 60 frames a second. For one thing, once you've gotten used to playing any game at 60 (including Madden on the PS3, which ran at a faster frame rate), going back to 30 feels like you're moving through molasses.IGN

Now I'm not completely sure if that means that this years Madden will run at 60fps or if they're saying that last years Madden ran higher than 30fps though.

I have no idea, OF COURSE IM PRAYING for the 60fps, but im not holding my breath.. I own both systems too, and im hoping that is 60fps on the Ps3, i really want it for the ps3, but if i have to buy it for the other for SMOOTHER gameplay i will

well i currently only own a ps3. However, I've decided to wait to purchase madden until I can find a used copy for less instead of buying both NCAA and Madden for the full price tag like I usually do. lol

A 4.65 for a MLB is decent, not so much for an OLB though. lol
