every1 is talking about this game like its the best thing coming out.
Now i really want to get it as well but i think i should get the 1st one first.

IN the 1st one is it like COD4 where u shoot the enemy with your team and their always with you or is it like
other FPS where u pretty much run around on your own doing the killing and you see your team rarely?

so yer some one tell cause I'm really excited to play it but i hate FPS where i do all the work cause im sick of those games.
in COD4 theres always people with you helping you out which really makes it feel like your there.

R:FOM mixes it up... there are some stages where you're online, some where you have a teammate, and some where it's an entire squadron.

R:FOM was an EXCELLENT game! The single player campaign was still the most enjoyable of any other I've played to date. The online is still fun too, although games like COD4 & UT3have better online. It's definitely worth getting though.

Depends on your game mode.

Think of the online sort of like UT's modes.

About 30% of the game you're totally alone, 40% of the time you're with a bunch of soldiers who die really quickly and aren't of much use, 25% of the time you're with a bunch of soldiers who give you a decent hand and 5% of the game you're with a very helpful team mate.

I think you might like this game but there is still a significant amount of work to be done.

Offline rules! How long...depends how good you are. But it's long like...10-15 hours I think?

The game is long. So long, in fact, that I sort of lost interest in the story mode at approximately the 15 hr mark (that's a guess, as there's no play time tracker that I'm aware of). It's not that the game isn't fun; it's actually great. But the most fun is to be had online, and I didn't feel that continuing to play the SP was going to make me any betterin multiplayer, so I stopped.

Yeah, I reccomend getting R;FoM the MP is solid. I just picked up a PS3 on Christmas and R;FoM last week from Ebay, which I'd reccomend if you have paypal, and it's what I find myself playing the most.. next to Uncharted. The SP campaign isn't amazing I found myself feeling like I just wanted to get it over with, kinda like Mass Effect, but the MP is where it is at.

the single player was ok, somewhat good but the Multiplayer on this game was horrible, every freaking game was nothing but endless grenade throwing , there were so many bombs flying that you couldnt even get near the enemies because of everybody was constantly throwing grenades, games like cod4 are leaps and bounds ahead of this game. I really hope this one plays different from the 1st one and I also hope they fix the graphics which werent impressive by any means.

While I respect your opinion, I disagree with your comments regarding Resistance's MP. Taken on a death-by-grenade: total-deaths ratio, I am naded just as often in COD4 as R:FOM.

Also, the play styles of these games are so different, it isn't completely fair to compare them side-by-side. I will say that COD's MP has quite a bit more depth to it, but to each his own.

Graphically, Resistance is impressive. Keep in mind that this was a launch title for the PS3, and sports some great texture work, particle effects, buttery smooth frame rates, and fantastic anti-aliasing. COD4 is one of the best looking games out there, but give credit to Insomniac's shooter where it's due.

In MP if you have friends with you, you could join Squads so that you guys spawn near eachother all the time and you will be able to see which the difference between team member and squad member on the map aswell.

Like 10-13 on normal level more on the harder one. The replayability was ok, the online was good. 20 v 20 easy use clan system.

Little bit of both.

Sometimes youre in big battles and sometimes youre by yourself.

Its a really good game so you should get it.

go get the first one... I can not believe so many people base their own decisions on other people's opinion. Just get info on the game and buy it. No one in here is going to give you more info than the one you could gather buy renting the game...

Just switch between both.

Whatever you do not buy the map packs for Resistance. No one plays on them anymore.

well, you don't die as easily here as in CoD4. and the only useful team-mate is your British buddy with the sniper. (only because he doesn't die.)
