Alright, Valkyria Chronicles is amazing.

I haven't had my PS3 that long so I've been catching up on a lot of the more mainstream titles. I heard a lot of talk concerning Valkyria Chronicles so I decided to pick it up the other day. Went to Best Buy and they didn't have it so I stopped by Game Stop and got a new copy there. Apparently that was a lucky break since they discontinued new copies (? Or so the guy at Game Stop told me). I like buying games new, I like supporting the developers.

Anyway, yeah, been playing this lately and it is just fantastic. Feels so fresh and different, definitely one of the defining titles in my gaming collection. I can gloat about virtually everything but I really have to say that the art in this game is great! I don't mean the graphics (though they're fine) but I mean the actual art direction and portrayal of things is just so awesome.

I can definitely see why so many people complain that this game went under the radar.

I got the game after all the great thing i heard about it. this is a great game indeed but i hated the element of luck in the combat system that was ment to be half REAL TIME ACTION. i would target the head and it missed, then the cpu would get a headshot from far away. i know this sounds like a noob talk but this happened far too many times to me. also the story starts nice but it becomes childing in the WAR game. and once i saw that PIG i just lost my intrest.

the game still sits on my desk, i wonder if i will give it another shot. But over all the joy of winning a battle in the game is rarely matched in any other game.

I have heard so many good things about this game but yet to get it. i still have about 5 games that I have not played yet (FFXIII, Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands, Dragon Age Origins, and more).

I bought the game last month and I was mighty happy with it, completed it and it was one of my favourite gaming experiences this gen.

Great game and if only Sega would bring out a trophy patch for it I'd buy it back in an instant!

Valkyria Chronincles is one of the best RPGs I've ever played in recent memory. It's so different and unique in a good way. Glad you like it ^^

yeah i know about those, but it is just that in the same battle it happened like 5 times that i miss the head and they get headshots against me, so i got really angry. i will try to pick it up again since to be honest i really liked they combat system. but 1st comes finishing Peace walker and RDR is on its way to my door as we speak. i havent sold VC cuz i always wanted to give it another chance.

I just recently started playing this again after i rage quitted because i beat the first desert battle then forgot to save then i started the huge tank battle and got brutally raped and stopped playing, then i noticed i hadn't saved. i actually didnt finish the boss battle until about ten minutes ago, also Valkyria chronicles should've been rated higher.

I had it on day 1. Probably best exclusive on the PS3 behind MGS4.

No I don't. I've been thinking about getting one just because I want Peace Walker and the God of War titles on there, and now VC2 is a new reason.

Its very hard to get into, but it's a worthwhile game to have in your collection, as It took me until about chapter 7-8 until I warmed up to it and then I just really opened up to it and let it penetrate me full on.

it's a great game. hopefully they'll release a new one on the ps3.
