There are some idiots who do things like exploit certain trophy hacks or steal account information or do a bunch of gamesharing (yes, that can get you banned). Anyway, in the case that got 2 retarded friends mine band is they found someone else's PSN info that had a credit card linked to it. Not only did they download everything else that person downloaded onto their PS3s they also ran up almost $200 on the victim's credit card. They were downloading movies, themes, games, and whatever they could fit onto their hardrives. Not only did Sony ban every account associated with their names, but they banned their PS3s as well. They'll need a new identity AND a new PS3 before they ever get on PSN again. Serves them right, too. Anyway, I had one other friend who found some save file hack you can do to Moder Warfare 2. It made it where all the trophies unlocked at once. Sony AND Infinity Ward have banned him. Tsk. tsk. tsk.

I see...so they only ban ppl for account stealing, trophy hacks, and game sharing. So online game cheaters, such as lag switch, prestige level hacks, and exploit bugs, wouldnt get any penality rite...that sucks.

No, those guys can get banned, too, but that's mainly up to Infinity Ward or whatever game they're cheating on. I have heard of people getting banned for exploiting glitches in KillZone2, though.
