I think people who live in America are great. Unless they are mean people, then they aren't so great. I'm from America though. I love my home.
Not me, I already have it. Be prepared for a very easy and somewhat repetitive first 3-4 hours. (It gets better).Hamitay
What would you call repetitive? Could you answer under a "spoiler" sign?
The combat is just very basic at first- you can either attack or use 1 ability (which is just an attack that hurts multiple enemies) and that's about it. It's also very linear and you don't do much else aside from fighting. After a few hours you're introduced to the paradigm system so you can actually use real tactics during battles. And the Crystogenesis system where you improve your character's attributes- similar to the system FFX used.Until those were introduced I found myself doing little aside from pressing the "attack" button.
Is your family in the military or something? I used to live in Okinawa a while back and I was just wondering because your always talking about getting the Japanese version of stuff.nope. im def not killing time and counting the hours down until midnight.
i got bioshock to finish, after that, gotta play my star ocean 4 international i bought, then dead space. and then i'm planning to buy heavy rain and bayonetta to play. and then i will end up buying ff13. XD
new games can wait........ but i don't wanna miss out all the good ps3 games.
excited for the game and my EB has a midnight, but I have school in the morning and I am not sure it is the kind of game that I will go to the midnight for.

What kind of game is midnight launch worthy? I have the game on pre-order but if I get the game at midnight all I'm gonna do is get home and sleep and by the time I wake up the stores will be open and I could just walk in and buy the game anyways. With movies I can understand having a midnight launch for but with videogames I don't get what the big deal is.

obviously there are people who have different "life cycle" than others. for example, there are people who are actie after 6 pm until like 4 am.... and sleep until like 2-3 pm....the "night owls." also, there are really enthusiastic ff fans that has been waiting for this game to come out for like several hours, they have bought bunch of energy drinks and took some time off work, or school(?) to devote on ff13 for days....... so knowing that, midnight launch doesn't seem so unreasonable.
Not counting down as i dont have my pay yet and im going to go get it at the same time as resonance of fate anyways
Well I'll be going now, less than 1 hour, time to walk a few blocks, and wait in line to pick up FFXIII!
Peace

Yeah it still seems unreasonable. I mean, the night owls is about the only legitimate reason there is but this isn't a Black Friday or seeing a demonstraion of the game on a gigantic screen. You stand in line, get the game and go home. The game isn't even going to be beat in 12 hours anyways, there is no online either. Are people gonna try to discover everything so they post it even though the game has already been out in Japan? Are people worried its gonna go out of stock? Are people gonna be dressing up in line counting down for an hour? The logic elludes me as to why it even compels people when the same results occur by simply getting the game the following day.
midnight finally hit. i got through about the first 90 minutes or so and it's pretty fun. reminds me of 10 mixed with 12. the beginning reminds me a little of ff7, for the setting mainly. i will say i don't like not having full control over my party, thats a big no-no for me. i guess i don't generally trust partner AI.
