Am I the only one waiting to buy Vita later?

As awesome as the handheld is, im waiting for a price drop (and maybe a few more awesome titles), a guy at Best Buy told me there would be a drop at the end of the year. It would be good to see people boycott the vita by not paying their ridiculous prices till they lower them. Anyone feeling the same way?

to be honest, you dont want a system to be boycoted, due to lowering sales for sony, lowering support, updates, etc. Yes the price is fine, remember when PSP originally came out it, it was 200 bucks....so thats a fine price tag. honestly i agree with the person above me, you cant believe BB employees, they dont know what will happen in a month, how can they know end of the year. PS, if price does decrease, it would be no more then 50USD for each model due to high cost of building them

The original psp was 250 upon release. Trust Me I remember paying it. And If you want to wait then go ahead.

Dont blame you, besides the Vita I havent bought any system at launch.

might just be a pass for me sorry Sony do likey handhelds but $$$ issues says i'll just do the console thing

also, oh wow, 250...which makes even priced as vita...but kinda didn't stop people from buying then, why now (well economy is a bit different)

and if you just dont see any games coming out that have your interest, then dont get it...keep in mind its a good media player as well.

True, from the way things sound, it seems like 2013 will be full of new consoles, would you rather have a Vita OR a Wii U, Xbox 720, and whatever the next Playstation is called.

The price is great for what you get, which is a complete current gen gaming system, no TV required. The reason I'm waiting is because it drove me nuts when I initally bought a 3DS and all the promised features weren't there yet. I am waiting for 100% compatability w/ PSN PSP games and PS1 Classics before buying.

I don't think the price is a big problem. And I don't think the price drop will happen that quickly.

I bought a 3DS on release, for what I'm paying for a Vita now seems like a bargain (£196 for nearly new console, fully boxed with 8GB card and Official Case)

and then £20 for Wipeout and £25 for Uncharted

seems pretty cheap compared to the £200 I paid for my 3DS and Ridge Racer (which was promptly sold the next day)

I'm still having a blast with my PSP, with many more games I want to play so that'll keep me busy for awhile. And the fact no titles really interests me on the Vita. Probabaly when (if) I hear more info on the Ys game.

well if the 720 or ps4 come out in 2013 .ill wait on those and get the vita instead....i always wait with sony and MS....nintendo is the only consoles i buy at launch.

I WAS going to wait to buy the Vita, probably for a couple of years. Then I won one from Playstation on twitter!

I bought a Vita last week and regret it. I suggest you go with your gut instinct and wait. I didn't, I just spent 450 dollars to play 3 games that are just a tiny bit nicer than a PSP game. I'm totally disappointed by the lame PSN offerings and the worthless Remote Play functionality. The 4 free augmented reality games are a waste of time and space. The game play for them is really about trying to avoid the "out of range" message. If I could return it, I would.

I should have not said 100%, which is unrealistic for BC on any system. Better compatability w/ PSP games and PS1 games in general is what I am waiting for. Actually, really just PS1 to be honest.

I am Waiting on a vita untill they release a new model, this is largely due to the fact that sony and nintendo seem to release a new model every few years with there handhelds that being said im the perfect candidate for a vita I did not own a psp this gen so I have all the psp games they offer on psn to catch up on except for the first psp god of war my brother in law got it and let me borrow his psp for a week, so I will have tons of psp games to run through and hopefully by the remodel lots of great vita games. This being said if they do a huge price drop and I can get a great deal like i did on the 3ds got it for 120.00 I would more then likely get a vita before the remodel as I think the system is fine the way it is. On a side note I tried one out at the local target the other day and the graphics were amazing, I played the tennis game and was shocked at how great the graphics were I think sony is onto something with the vita.

is there any site to tell the total vitas sold in the us, like there used to be for the 360 , ps3, and wii?

I was waiting for a price drop or at least a reasonable bundle deal.. but then i changed my mind.. patience isn't my strong point:D

bought it...was excited the first 2days... got bored... sold it and bot a psp again... i dont hav the patience to go along with sonys lackluster slow development in marketting the vita... will prolly get it once it has atleast some titles out...

The price of the handheld is fine. However the price of the memory cards are ridiculous.

I want to get a Vita, but I do not know if it is going to be around. Sales are slipping. I want to get games like Hot Shots Golf 6, Escape Plan, and Gravity Daze. Sony's first party seems to be going full force with titles still to release like Sound Shapes, Killzone Vita, and Little Big Planet, but third parties do not seem to be doing much. Little King's Story seems cool as well as Ragnarok Odyssey, but we do not even know if there is a Western localization. Same thing with Orgarythm.

yea the fact that ps1 games are not playbale off the vita and many psp games are missing from the store...makes me think the vita was rushed just like the 3DS was also rushed.

I'd definitely like to get one at some point. But I'll probably wait a year or two.

I was an early adopter with the 3DS, and that was really crap for the first year. It's getting going now, but I still don't think it has enough quality games.

I hope the Vita sticks around. If they get a few killer titles out this year, they could really turn things around in time for christmas.
