Am i the only person not sick of FPS's

everytime you look at a thread about an FPS theres always at least one person saying "ugh, im sick andtired of FPS, give me something new." or some such thing. FPS is my favorite genre and personaly im sick of people that are sick of FPS's. Anyone agree? dont flame if you are one of those people, this threadis not for you.

I'm for sure not sick and tired of them, I can't get enough of them. So many amazing FPS's comming out next month! I just don't know what I'm gonna but yet.The_Waffler14

Shooters are my favorite game type. As long as it is a good game, I'll play it.

All people in Japan play are RPGs. Do people there complain about yet another RPG?

I hate FPS games most of the time. And I hate most RPGs.

Thrid Person Shooters have ALOT more you can do to them.

And action RPG's are MUCH better then a strait up RPG

to each their own, and you're entitled to like whatever tickles your fancy.....

the reason there is this huge backlash against all these FPS titles is.....there's all these FPS titles!!!! Too much of anything is always a bad thing (accept money). We are reliving what happened in the mid 90's when there were all these Street Fighter clones! Besides, how many different ways can you press R1 to shoot?

If there were more variety of games on the market, this wouldn't be an issue. But right now, especially as a PS3 owner eagerly anticipating a new title for this console, to hear that the new "hot" game is an FPS is BEYOND frustrating because thats what happened LAST month and the month before that!!!! Globally, the American gamer looks like a fool stuck on shooting and blowing things up! Thats why the "other" console is only successful here AND an FPS just so happens to be their main money maker!

I will never get sick of it. NEVER! :p

I'm pretty sick of them at this point. That's part of the reason I probably won't get UT3 or Orange Box, despite the reviews. I will be getting Crysis, but that's because I'm a graphics whore and loved the (very unoptimized) beta.

I really want more fighters, RPGs, and action/adventure games.

stop buying and they will stop making. if professional video game reviewers continue to have an erection towards fps, so what, ther all the same gameplay. lets move on before they do.

the reason i bought a playstation is because it has always had the most balanced library of games, u go to 360 u find fps and shooters all mature games, u got to wii, u find kiddie games, the recent increase of fps's being developed is exciting but there should also be at the sametime other games comin as well

I have been playing FPS's since Doom on Snes and have played a lot in between and im still playing RFOM and enjoying the hell out of it!

so, no. I'm not tired of it.

I side with the FPS's of the world. I love them, I love 3rd person shooters also, I can't get enough I love WWII shooters to so kill me over that one.. my only 1 big problem is that the same people who complain about too many FPS games also complain about games that are innovative like.. LAIR!! which I happened to thoroughly enjoy also..

Nope love em all. Im waiting on a couple in the upcomming months, HAZE and COD4 have sparked my interest a bit. UT3 comming out next year 1st fiscal quarter looks like a cool game...

Ill never be sick of FPS's. It started when i first played Halo CE with my friend. FPS's are my favorite type of game.

I like FPS's but I gotta admit that the FPS market is pretty saturated. It seems like those are the only games that are coming out nowadays and the controls get repetitive. One button to shoot, grenades, pick up weapon, switch weapon, melee. That's about it....

I'm not a huge fan of the FPS genre, but when I do purchase one I look for something that sets it apart from the conventional military-themed shooter. The Darkness, although not the greatest game, is one of my favorite comics. Bioshock is amazing in every regard, but the whole underwater city thing intrigues me. Resistance is cool, because it rewrites history (alien swarm overtakes Russia and Europe - no WW II).

Dude, if shooting people (let's face, the majority of FPS is about shooting people) is the only joy you love, and point-click is the only motion you enjoy (read, the most repetitive motion ever created in video games), then of course you love FPS.

But for me? I enjoy working my brains (puzzle, adventure game), watching a find story unfold (RPG), lots of cool moves and motions on my finger tip(action and platformer), and much much more.

So yeah, I'm sick of FPS, and you now know why.

I'm not a big fan of FPS, and it's kinda boring to see more of the same type of FPS' come out. But it's your favorite genre so no one should bash you for that, it's your thing.

I do enjoy the occasional FPS, I dislike/get bored of most of them, but some (Black, Republic Commando, Rainbow Six Vegas) are amazing games. And I can't wait to play Haze.

I only stick with the good ones, it helps if you avoid the crap. These are the games I own so far this generation

Halo 3

Orange Box

And believe it or not, I'm not a huge shooter fan. Its just that all of those games are quality for one reason or another and they are all different enough for me to enjoy them and consider them to be good. The FPS trend will change though as soon as games like Ace Combat 6, Uncharted and Mass Effect come out. Except I'll be getting CoD4 as well.

Its just that running around taking people's heads off with a shotgun or sniper rifle is so satisfying.

First Person Shooters are basically the biggest genre in gaming, next to Sports.

There are an awful lot of them, and not that many of them are great.

I'm certainly tired of bad FPS games.
