Well, the PS3 really hasn't taken off yet. It has a few good games, though right now barely any are exclusives. Their stock will most likely run out when good exclusives come to the console.
I was intrigued until I saw all of the "6-8 weeks" comments....hell with that. I have been looking on Ebay and have been seeing new/sealed 60gigs go for as low as 525.00. I am considering just getting one there from a high rep seller when I finally cave in and buy one, which probably will not be very much longer, lol.

I cant see anyone selling it for less than retail unless something happened......and also PS3s are still hard 2 find.....Costco however is an amazing place to buy them...heh I woulda never looked at Costco had my friend not told me

Hell, I know what you mean, but I have seen a few 60gigs go for under $600.00 on Ebay. No doubt about it....from high rep sellers as well. It just makes one wonder where/how they aquired the PS3's that they are selling, you know what I mean?
there were some at stores in my area maybe 3 weeks ago, but since then they have been sold out near me. this is a tempting situation, but im just going to wait for some to get in stock near me, should not be long, considering the surplus everywhere else in the US.

Sounds nice, but a little too nice. I personally don't want to purchase expensive things online even from a seemingly good seller. simply because of shipping delays, false ads, damaged product, actual third party delivery mishaps, stuff like that. My only advise is to buy from stores not online. And if you need someone to convince you of getting one, well then... GET ONE, NOW ( and by now i mean when it comes to a store near u, lol ) Will that do?
I don't trust online stores. I would be pissed if my $600 system gets broken and bruised cause I got it in the mail lol. My boyfriend bought his for $1300. As long has he has it I'll wait to buy my own lol
Just got one! Back in stock if they were ever out. Order sez it will ship around the 27th. I dont mind waiting a week to save $50. hehe BTW all those people saying 6-8 weeks have no clue what they talking about. Amazon is a class operation. I usually get my stuff shipped free in 1 to 8 days depending on which warehouse they ship from. And you can always cancel the order before it ships not like that crappy Overstock.com place.
