Best bet is fall. But I strongly believe Killzone 2 will be pushed into AT LEAST spring 09.

It would be far too close to Resistance 2, which I do believe will make it's supposed Fall 08 launch.

People have reported playing 1-hour of MGS4, and only 20-min of Killzone 2. It is far from a Feb launch.

Exactly. They need about a 3 month BETA test so they can get kinks worked out, it aint coming in feb.

They did say expect it sooner than you think, I was expecting it this summer, so now I'm thinking maybe April, but Feb seems a little over zealous, would be awesome thoughTheNumber_12

Thats what I have heard, but if GTA is set to release that month they might hold off....Also there is no way this game is coming next year....If it does Im not buying in sign of protest....

Well off course Killzone wasn't a very good game. PS2 wasn't a very good system hardware vise for shooters. But it was good enough game for Sony to eventually buying out the developers completely. Killzone 2 could be the game that can be the prove that if developers want, they can make insane looking games for PS3 instead of saying "Its too hard to develop for so we would stick with what's easier to develop for." and yes Ubisoft i am looking at you regarding the upcoming Splinter Cell.

True. I think alot of Killzone's issues were due to the weak framerate. I swear that game ran at 10fps at most in a full server.

i absolutely agree with you regarding the slowdown. i heard that the first Killzone was supposed to be on PC but they switched to PS2. but i think that they definitely are learning from what went wrong with the first game. Just look at the PSP version of Killzone. They knew that shooters are a nightmare on PSP so they went with an isometric third person shooter. i strongly believe that Guerilla will not ship the game until its completely done. and i also believe that the game will indeed be awesome.

I think Insomniac has a certain reputation over Guerilla.

This is, really, Guerilla's one big hit.

But Insomniac is known for it's great titles, and usually meeting the date of expected launch.
