Cause if I simply have to wait like 2 months to have the new and shiny model (nothing really diff. but still) for the same price... I'll wait, lol. ;)

Once the 60 GB [$499] model runs out, they will cut theprice on the 80 GB. I don't know about the blu ray movies though since that rebate runs out in september.

Also right now, amazon is givng 8 free blu ray movies, 5 through rebate and 3 right then with the ps3 purchase. Just a little info.

They have all but come out and said it. Even the way they act like shows that they will cut the price. I read an article on how sony's internal 60 GB version is almost depleted and now they are "waiting" for the retail versions to go out before their "next" step.

I guess its a true rumor because whenever they ask them if that reduction will happen, sony always says, "we are waiting for 60 GB model to run out before acting." I personally think they will do it. It makes too much sense than not to.

Also sony hints that 60 GB will be running out possibly in the october-november range just in time for the thanksgiving cut again. Again who knows but everything is matching too much for them not to price cut.

Sony's internal stock ran dry this week from what I've read, so its down to what the stores have in their warehouses. I'm guessing that since so many good games are coming out starting now and going on thru to march that the stock will not last long.

after the price is cut, there's no backtracking
if Sony keeps the 80g at 599 after the 60g is sold out, then the PS3 will not sell since everyone will start hoping for a dropGeneralX84

Thanks a bunch guys, I suppose I'll try to wait. I gave myself a goal, I need to finsihed persona 3 on the ps2 before I buy the ps3, but since the game is long (and I can play about 2 hours per week since I work AND study at the university) it'll take a while. Still, I'll stop working in one or two weeks to have more time to study, but that almost means that I'll have more time to play too. Anyway, I'll try to wait for the holiday price drop, or at least for folklore.
