Last night I was using the browser on my PS3 to watch a heavenly sword video on youtube and it was so slow.  I noticed that the "signed in" icon in the top right corner was appearing every couple of seconds.  I then tried to download a video and it was much slower than usual and occasionally it gave me "there is a network problem" error in the top right corner.  I went to "network settings" then to "network settings and connection status list" and I saw that that signal strength was going from 100% to not connected and back and forth over and over again.  Not sure why this is happening.  When I'm not using the browser or downloading anything the signal strength stays at %100.  The internet on my computer works fine so I'm pretty sure its not my connection. Anyone else come across this problem?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could be multiple things.

Do you have the 60 gig? If so I know from much personal experience that household things can interfere with the signal, especially nasty is cell phones. Could also be someone living close to you has just got a wireless router as well and it could be giving you grief.

If it is a wired connection, then it could be your internet provider. I used to have tons of issues with DSL, the signal would lapse for a millisecon, but it was enoguh to drop my game of FFXI online. Maybe you were just having a bad service night from your ISP. If the problem persists, give them a call and let them know you are having intermitant outages.
