"Free Radical co-founder and GoldenEye 007 (N64) veteran David Doak later noted that the game would debut on PlayStation 3 first, but was still being developed for other platforms."
Strange, i've seen a video of that same guy saying the game is a PS3 exclusive (i think you can even DL that video ff the PSN).
Anywho, this it most likely down to Ubisoft, right now they have some major money issues and i'm sure FR are really regreting letting them publish the game. It seems ubi is falling apart, i'm really starting to wounder if they'll still be around in 09, if they are i doubt they'll stll beindependent; probaly bought by EA or alike...
I'm still interested in Haze, they have a talented developers team and I'm keeping positive about it.
April-March is barely two months away, not a big deal. Lets just hope the extra time is to polish the game and the final product is worth the wait. ^_^

True, the BEGINNING of their fiscal 2008 year is only two months away, but that means the game could come out as late as 14 months from now. Unless, of course, there's another delay... will Haze soon be vaporware??
I hope it gets delayed to June.
That is when Socom and MGS4 are EXPECTED to launch (not 100%).
Would be hilarious watching Haze get pummeled.
They keep delaying it because they know its going to be absolute trash, so the hype they built up can die out. If they were to actually release the game their credibility would be lost. These were the guys that said Halo is not all that great, so they had some high expectation to live up to.
They most likely played the game stood there in shock, wondering how the game ended up so bad.
Are you saying Halo is great?
Sigh. You have much to learn.

Despite our personal beliefs, it is one of the best selling and highest rated franchises.
Your little sig there, No More Heroes?
Terrible sales, yet from what I hear it is an amazing game. And from having PLAYED Zack & Wiki, I was appauled by it's lack of sales. Leading me to get rid of my Wii due to Nintendo's failure at supporting 3rd party.
Sales don't make a game.
Can we try to not mention that much lauded XBOX FPS in every FPS related topic on the PS3 board?2headedhawaiian
No one said anything about Perfect Dark Zero
Indeed... Well, i disagree with BoricuaProdigy, i think Haze will still be a damn good game and i'll still pick it up on release when ever that be, if you think a game is any worst because of a delay then you must really hate Little Big Planet not to mention MGS4...gekidami
TimeShift, Daikatana to name a few. A lot of games have been delayed for years and still released as half***** products. It can go either way. I'm hoping for the best, since I am a fan of Free Radical, but this game just doesn't have the chops to stand toe-to-toe with Resistance 2, among other shooters that'll be released by then.

While I fully understand this logic, I think Haze's first big delay was after a hands-on demo was unveiled at some shows to less than stellar user/critic reviews. Plus, I know I'm not alone when I say the gameplay vids have not impressed me. I think the premise is interesting, but the environments, graphics, animations, and weaponry on display haven't provided that atmosphere that could push Haze to the top of the heap. I don't expect the game to be terrible, but I don't anticipate it being on anyone's GOTY lists come December. Whether that's December 08 or 09 is anybody's guess.
Timeshift was bound to be a terrible game. I was in the PC beta about 2 years ago.
It was dropped from it's previous developer, then picked up, and as expected... Was a failure.

The possible release alongside Resistance specifically I think poses a unique challenge to Haze, since online co-op has been a highly touted feature in Haze's hype-cycle. Resistance 2's 8 player online co-op story mode, which will differ from the SP story mode, looks to trump Haze here. At this point, I'm not really sure what Haze can offer over anything else that will be out by or around the time of its release.

Yup, it was just as bad in its original form as it was in its final form. The delay didn't help it. See where I'm going with this?
isnt this old news? i rememebr hearing a while ago that haze was delayed until march..i think march 25th..maybe im not sure of the exact date but i heard its january release date was delayed since decemberyungswift44
Yeah, it was delayed until March '08, but now it may get released in March '09. A full year later.
Resistance 2 has been expected to be released around Fall 08... That's just what they said in the gameinformer interviewZergvasion89
Resistance 2 is confirmed for Fall '08. Insomniac releases a new game every year. 2006 = Resistance: FoM, 2007 = R&C: ToD and 2008 = Resistance 2.
i doubt a 2009 release im gonna need serious confirmation on this topic, seriously what game has had a release THAT bad hahaha especialy when so close to being release, theyd have to be redoing liek everything hahayungswift44
Well, no one is technically claiming a 2009 release. It was just announced that the game will be released between April 1, 2008 and March 31, 2009, so technically the game could be released in 2009, though no date has actually been announced.
Gamers are never happy,
if Haze is delayed to ensure a bug free experience with more polish, etc,
what's the problem?
Everyone SCREAMS if a game is released with even the smallest bugs...

Duke Nukem Forver and their 10 years delay?

Imagine the looks on their faces! "How did we manage to make a game this bad!?"

But atleast Duke Nukem Forever has potential.
I wouldn't go as far as to say Haze doesn't have potential. As is well documented in this topic, the pedigree of the developers (Goldeneye, Timesplitters) is enough to generate interest in most of us. I obviously don't expect much from Haze at this point, but I wouldn't be completely surprised if it's good.

Okay seriously, you're starting to annoy me severely. How the hell do you know it's going to be absolute trash when the game hasn't even been released and tried by worldwide players around the world. Have any critics gave reviews on it? NO! That's because it's taking time to produce the game. Oh and Halo...don't get me started with that. You're completely ignorant, i normally don't get pissed off but you just keep going on and on and the game hasn't even been released yet...what your opinion isn't everyone else's opinion...and certainly isn't mine. Sure, the hype for the game has been died down...but look at Brawl on the Wii, everyone knows that will be an awesome game..no doubt. My main point is stop being so f'ing arrogant, you act like some mr.knowitall.
do i need to remind all of you that also mgs4 got delayed??? but i dont hear any complaints.....it doesnt mean that if a game gets delayed that it will suck....i actually think its better...more time to polysh it....stop whining..its a great developer team..and i think that they will make a great game....
