Any chance they reveal a new PS3 model in E3?

So my 60 GB is kinda dying, I had it fixed few months ago and now it's become very slow. I'm gonna buy a new PS3, but I heard Sony was readying a new model. Is there any chance we'll get any info about this model in E3? I simply wanna know if I should wait or just go buy one before that.

ok i have one question for u guys, how the heck are u getting this info about sony making a new ps3 model? i mean seriously if its not announced by sony, if theres no legitimate videos of them talkin about it, why assume that they coming out with a new one? besides they focusing on getting the NGP ready and what not. they not looking into ps3 redesign or anything like that. if anythin they might have a price cut, maybe. but thats it. if i was u id hop on one those bundles, specially the killzone 3 bundle for 300 bucks and theres a ton of them on amazon check it outJoKeR_421

Relax dude. I can't exactly remember where, but I read that Sony was making a new PS3 model after the hacking thing happened. I'm not sure if it's legit or not, and that's why I was asking. I'm not assuming they're making a new one, I'm just wondering.

I did research, in fact I lurk these forums daily and I haven't seen any thread about this in a while, I've seen some about the PS4 but not about the new model. A quick look right now on the first 10 pages didn't show any of those threads actually. As for the firmware they said it was a temperary solution, nothing exactly related to a new model.

Anyway, thanks for the advice and I'm looking into the Killzone 3 bundle right, it looks great! ;)

The K3 has been discontinued those are the last and they are no long 300 on amazon they are selling for like 369 or something. Honestly if you want a new ps3 i would wait for a good bundle to do so in the fall, if your 60gb is working ok just make sure you are backing it up in case it goes down. i dont understand how its going slow its not like a desktop PC or anything My 60Gb just died in November and showed no signs what so ever. The only new model PS3 i have ever heard of is a more secure version due to the whole hacking thing, Maybe that gets shown and a price cut gets revealed for the fall would be top of my list, KurupSoldr

As for my PS3 I got YLoD few months ago, I got it fixed but now everything is too slow in it. The loading times, the frames dropped (I usually don't notice low frame rate or screen tearing even in bad games, but now I do notice low frame even in good games), even in-game voice overs in FFXIII became slow-motion voices.
