I haven`t read much on it, but I have read that you`d be fine not playing the other two PE games.
I see, that's cool. Guess I'll start with the 3rd birthday then. I kinda figured it would't be neccesary either since it's been 10 years since Parasite Eve 2, and they changed the name. But I thought I'd ask anyway, just in case.

That's what wikipedia exists for...I plan on doing that after I get the game...oddly enough it's because it's a 3rd person shooter that I really want to buy it because they just don't make enough of the genre for my tastes.

@JohnnyWPSP: 1st Quarter 2011 is all we know right now for the release in NA and Europe.
Looks cool, even though I haven't played the other games. Won't get it right away because it'll be awhile before I can get my PSP fixed, but as soon as possible, yeah.
