For me I actually feel like it was hyped too early... I was really excited about it, then stopped seeing anything about it and basically forgot it even existed. Now when I see it casually mentioned anywhere I basically go 'meh' if I even notice. I guess it's a bit like LBP is from my point of view: interesting and unusual, I'll get some good fun out of playing it, but then it'll go back on the shelf so I can get some more serious gameplay out of my other games.
So based on that I picked "When it's cheap," because even with my most anticipated games I always wait.
I agree with a post above (forgot to quote) -- they hyped this game way too early. I really like LittleBigPlanet, and this seems to follow that same route, so hopefully this will be just as good. I can see this as either a sleeper hit, or a game that takes the world by surprise and ends up being a smashing hit and a bestseller. I mean, either that, or a clunker, but nobody likes those.
The cart/character customization was pretty fun but the actual racing was rather horrible and I know its a beta but god was it buggy and suffered from serious performance issues... that said even if it was technically perfect I still wouldn't pay for it.
Yeah Ill give it a rent first because the driving did feel kinda.....off so Ill see if it feels better than the beta. Customization is great though like previously stated.
