Any one else think that the PS3 controller is to small?

another thread about big handed people complaining about the PS controller :roll:RTUUMM

I swear he's holding it wrong. Lemme guess, your thumbs touch on the dual analog and it gives you hand cramps? Try not holding it like a gorilla. See if that helps. :P

I'm just kidding, TC. Seriously though, I'm willing to bet you're holding it in a way that MAKES it uncomfortable. I hear about it all the time.

It wouldn't hurt but I think it's fine the way it is. Not uncomfortable at all.

I don't think it's too small, it's just the wrong shape. The prongs aren't quite as curved as they should be, either (and don't get me started on the triggers).

Yes... Bad ergonomics, triggers, and the thumb pads should be concave, IMO. (and my thumbs bump together... big hands) I'd perfer a 360/PS3 hybrid. Give me a smaller 360 remote with an internal battery and I'd be in heaven...

The triggers can be fixed with Dual Triggers, a $5 add-on. The analog sticks I could agree with. If your thumbs are bumping, you're doing it wrong! :P

I think most would agree though that the perfect controller would be something like this:
360 controller casing + 360 triggers + DS3 face buttons + DS3 L1 & R1 + DS3 D-Pad

Stereotypically, females have smaller hands and I think the PS3 controller was made for me, to be honest. ;P

Its fine, I don't see why it would need any changes. Although I've heard people say that before.. Maybe Im just used to it since back on the PS1.

Why should Sony create another version of the DS and spend millions just to cater for people with big hands?

iv got no complaints with the DS3 with realtriggers, if the controller was so flawed then it would not have lasted 3 generations.

Yeah the thing is tiny.. And I want to say that after all of these years I'm used to the Dualshock, but no. Especially when comparing it to the super comfy 360 controller.

I think the PS3 controller is perfect. It fits nicely in my hands and is very comfortable. I sometimes just hold it in my hands even when I am not playing anything just becuase it feels like a nice comfotable hand position. I have held 360 controllers before and it just felt awkward to me compared to the comfort of the PS3 controller. I probably just haven't had enough time with the 360 though.

The controller fits my hands perfectly. But if Sony were to make a larger version for folks with bigger hands I'd have no problem with that as long as the regular size is still available. Aren't there larger 3rd party PS3 controllers though?

Im a big guy...6'4"...with big hands, and i think the DS3 is perfect.

And as someone else mentioned, it is pretty impressive for a controller to last 3 generations. To my knowledge, it is the only controller to do so....most only last 1...If it aint broke, dont fix it.

You should buy a 3rd party controller, they're usually bigger.
