Any Racist Comments on PSN?

Many of my friends have 360's and mention that there are a lot of racists on live. There were even some threads in the 360 forum about racist comments and so on.

I just got my PS3 for Christmas so i havent been at PSN for too long but i've never had any racist comments just yet. Have you ever had any racist comments or such a thing at PSN? Or is it just that Live is full of idiots who think they are 'hard' if they give stupid comments?

Unfortunately there are some idiots everywhere that are racist. Personally I think this is something that some of us could resolve by just ignoreing these people, or better yet not allow them in any games that we are hosting.jimm895

I think this is a really good idea. Unfortunately, some people will always be ignorant, but if we actively block those people who make inappropriate comments then we can show that we won't tolerate that type of behaviour

There are some jackass that own the system and yes I heard some but if I was on xbox live I bet I would be hearing more so yeah.

to be honest with you, there arent many comments about anything. hardly anyone has a blu tooth headset or talks.

most of the people who do are like the general gaming public though, it will be worse when home comes out

Sadly, people will pick the least popular poll choice just because its there.

360 Live has turned me away from using my mic during online games...racist remarks, as well as other stupid things (like singing and yelling) have made me set my mic to mute and avoid all conversation.

I just got a PS3 and don't plan on using a mic...because of the community I experienced on 360 and the overall amount of whinning kids just make me nervous.

I'll admit I'm kinda racist (well... maybe politically incorrect is a better term). I don't start calling people racist names unless I get called one. Then I'll go off.

I'm not going to lie. I have been online and people just start going off. I mean me and my friend were talking, who is Black as well, and someone could tell and boom...monkey this, n word that, and coon and it just kept going. But I realized on the box it says ESRB gaming online may change rating and all that. If I play online more then an hour I will run into some idiot if I jump from room to room. But talking with the sane really cool people online way outways the scare of racist comments. I mean hey...call me the N word and I will digitally shoot you in the head. Period.

How am i an idiot? I just educated you on classic racism? Grow up its a reality. White people are in power in America.. only people in power CAN be racist! Look up racism and how its been used in the past and which counties before calling me an idiot ok? Racism is nothing more than a "machine" to keep a certain race succesful nothing more nothing less.

I grew up around a lot of racist family members and some family members that weren't racist. I was a kid around the time of all the race wars in the south (just a few miles from the Ole Miss campus during the segregation period). I have meet people from all races and ethnic groups and many of these people are very good people and a very small percentage are the ones that makes the whole group look bad.

Note I am a cacasion American.

Live by far has more offensive chatter than PS3. Well think of it this way, since the PS3 had a higher price tag, it would be more logically to think that a majority of the purchases had to be more adults with the disposable incomes. Adults usually equal more maturity.DukeofNewYork00

IM 16 and have aPS3 im far from being adult many of most of my friends have PS3 also and i know there are loads of kids on PSN age dosent dictate wether or not ur racist my grandfather comes up with the odd racist comment and u dont get more mature then a 86 yr old

That is so true I have meet some kids that were much more mature than older people. And sadly there are so many kids that just don't get the way things could be without the racist hate. And this is also true with older people as well. Bottom line is it's not always the age of a person but the attitude of a person.
