Any real facts about Resistance 3???

First, I know R2 was not as good as the first, but it wasn't just horrible. I have read on several forums about due to the lack luster sales there would be no R3. All of these rumors of no R3 are just that, rumors. I do wonder seeing that I haven't heard anything from Insomniac about a third installment, but I completed both games already and really feel this need for some closure to the story. Does anyone have any cold hard facts about R3?

Sorry, I don't think there is any details as of yet. You should wait till 2010 since Insomniac makes a Resistance game one year and then Ratchet and Clank the next. A new R&C comes out in fall so maybe after it's out there will be news.

I actually read few days ago that Insomniac is working on a new, secret game. Possibly a new IP.

it's Insomniac. i don't think sales will stop them from making a third. theres no word of a third, but it wouldnt surprise me to see R3 come out, late next year or early 2011---that just leaves one year left till 2012... Da.da.da....

As far back as October 2007, there have been Resistance 3 rumors by the likes of Surfer Girl and CVG that suggested that Resistance 2 would feature a cliff-hanger ending paving the way for a third game in the series.

Now that Resistance 2 will be out worldwide this week, fans of the PlayStation 3-exclusive FPS are beginning to finish the campaign. Guess what they are finding out? That developer Insomniac Games saying the game tells "the story of Nathan Hale in his last 19 hours to live" where more than foreshadowing. But that's not how it ends, in fact, Hale's last words in Resistance 2 are — and I quote — "Can you hear them? They are calling to us. It's beautiful. [...] This is just the beginning."

I feel it was a success, but several forum posters on other sites keep talking about it being not as great as was expected and they considered it a failure sales wise. Resistance 1 has sold 3.6 million so far and R2 has sold about 1.6 million up to now. I love the game and hope their is a third. I would think if any game sells one million copies it is a success, no matter what the expectations are.

But i hope there is a R3, number 2 didnt end the story at all....

Maybe they change the whole feel of the game again like they did from one and two...

I've heard nothing so far. They're currently work on Ratchet and Clank: ACIT, so I expect more info next year.

Yeah I too remember Nathan dyin but whatever R2 was better than one for me, it was much more difficult and way more balls to the wall.

Can not wait for 3.
