As the titles asks, I didn't know if there was a way to find out what games Sony plans to release for the PSP Go. Is there a way to find out before the games are actually released, or do I have to cross my fingers every thursday when PSN gets updated...?

Gotta cross your fingers.

That's why I got rid of my GO, It doesn't got my favourite game and I doubt it ever will. (NHL 07)

Sony says that most future games, especially big name titles, will be released on psn. And usually i would say around 90% of all games will be on the psn from now on.

As for the above poster, no i doubt sony will never put NHL07 on it due to licensing issues. Im assuming that since the game has licensed music, there will be some type of problem with copyright and all. Its the same problem they have with lumines.

I'd like to know this too. I got a go for christmas.

I would like for some of the older games to be released on it, like final fantasy tactics.

The store is kind of lacking right now. :(

There's no way to know, really. In fact, I remember Capcom releasing a list of games it intended to release over PSN (which was supposed to be finished in November) and they still haven't uploaded MM: PU.

What market are you in? It's available in the US PSN... if you're EU, then I dunno... but the original (which is getting props over the PSP re-vamp by several people who's opinion I trust), is on the PSOne download page, it's cheaper, and from what i hear it's not as plagued with slow-downs and other minor bugs. It doesn't have the fancy cutscenes either, but again from people I trust, you don't miss much.

And again if you're outside the US, all of this may be erronious, so if it is I apologize... but the PSOne library is a great place to fill your Go while you're waiting for some of the other games on your list to show.

just an idea.

:)

As for what's coming when - The majority of us just sit around scratching at our forearms like junkies until Thursday Night rolls around!!! Right fellas???

Hopefully Sony will release a system that allows Go owners to expect what older releases will be available in the near future. It's hard to justify my purchase when i don't even know that games i will be able to play on it (not saying I dislike my Go, but it would be nice to know what's coming).

C'mon... don't you feel like it adds a bit of mystery to your week??? I do... sitting around Thursday afternoons is fun now, waiting for the jewels in the update to reveal themselves!!! It should be fun... like Christmas morning only it happens once per WEEK!

Yeah I agree with ston3henge. As a PSP Go owner, I absolutely enjoy waiting for the mystery jewel that gets unravelled every week on the psn network but then again this is only my opinion. I personally love the way how Sony releases new content every week. I love surprises! Sometimes you hit the jackpot! :D Sometimes you don't. :(

Now that Sony implemented digital content especially by releasing the Go, I am pretty sure there are a lot of games on UMD out there that will be released eventually on the Go. If you guys think about it, every week expect at least 1-4 games for the PSP. Since there are 365 days, there is approximately 52 weeks. If we calculate it, we get like 52 - 100 games per year! That is quite alot in my opinion :).

Right now, I bought in total like around 7 - 10 games on the PSN and am nowhere close to finishing or getting bored at all.

This is off-topic but I do wish that Sony would eventually implement an import system where you can buy games from different regions. One good example would be the Gundam vs Gundam Next+ game from Japan. I checked it out on youtube what the game was about and woah I was totally blown away. :D

Careful. Gundam games are notoriously horrible in and out of Japan...

It is only an opinion of mine so if it does not get implemented it is ok I guess. I am not going to go deeper into whether or not it actually does bad in whichever country. While your claim maybe true, I would like to point out that there are some people out there who like or may like a particular game if they were given a chance to play it. In other words, there are some games that people don't like that others may actually like.

The idea is it would be nice if we consumers can buy digital copies of games from different regions as an alternative for physical media since some owners like me own a Go. :D

if you wanted to get that game you can try something like creating an account on the jp psn with a fake japanese address (use a walmart or something) and then just buy psn cards for the store thru play-asia.com because im not sure if they will take an american (assuming you are an american) credit card.

Im not sure but that may work.

Anyone want to hip the new meat here on how I'm the only person on these boards who champions "REEL FISHING" on a regular basis?

You're preaching to thechoir here, kiddo. I just put out a warning because, being a Gundam fan for the last 20-odd years I've only seen one maaayybe two games licensed in the franchise which were playable, let-alone fun and such. It was a friendly thing. I honestly don't care what people play as long as they enjoy it... but son you need to slow down and perhaps not be so defensive right out of the gate. I was trying to be a friend and fellow fan, not a Den Mother or Judge.

;)

I would like to clear this misunderstanding. I am calm and I was not trying to attack you. In my previous reply, it was a matter of a "simple" explanation rather than a "defensive" explanation. I do not in any way disprove any of your statements. In fact, I am sorry if my statements seeming offended you. Careful reading would be nice though to avoid unnecessary claims that may be interpreted as an "attack".

Just to clarify my main statement in my off-topic comment, I was actually referring to a psn import system not Gundam games being licensed. An import system that allows Go owners to download psp games from different regions without the need of making or switching accounts from different regions. In other words, the ability to use the same US account to buy games from different regions.

Let's leave it at that. I accept your opinion. You win. :D

No-no-no... I just read that and I thought it was funny because you are (relatively speaking) new on this forum and I've been the page joke for my outspoken love of games everyone else dislikes or thought was stupid... take for example "REEL FISHING", which is pretty much what I'm famous for around here. But I'm all about breaking new ground or playing what others aren't in the pursuit of that perfect gaming experience. It was really funny and I just started typing, without realizing that you and everyone else aren't in my head and privy to the joke... I'm a spaz-O.

The thing about your idea is, it goes contrary to the reason for regional distribution so they won't drop that for download content on the PSP. They want and/or need to control who gets what, and when... sucks but it's all about the global economics of doing biz. We in the movie fan spectrum have been dealing with regional horse-pucky forever, and having to get a region-free DVD player used to be an expensive and time-consuming thing to feed. It's getting easier, but they won't drop those frameworks anytime soon.

No attitudes read into it or taken, I was actually apologizing for my tone in the first place so it's not a matter of conceeding a battle my friend. It was more about not wanting to see someone get their hopes up for a game based on the Gundam license... I've had my own dashed on the rocks so many times since the Dreamcast and before, and the game on the DC was the last one I was really happy with. Most of the other Gundam games which haven't failed right out of the box were the fighting games which I thought could be fun for awhile, especially if the other person you're playing is a suit afficionado who can geek out with you!

"Ah... I see you chose the MkII... it's no match for my Zeta, but prepare to die!"

:P

We as Gundam fans have been waiting a loooooong time for something to do the franchise proper justice, haven't we? Sorry to go off-topic again...

... and HEY... it's THURSDAY!!! You know what THAT means!!! Just a few more hours and it's UPDATE TIME!!!

:D:D:D:D:D

You know what I don't get? When people ask which games are going to be released for the GO. Everything released on the GO is available via 3000 as well, so it's rather pointless. Why not just ask which games are going to be released on PSN instead? It makes more sense, and doesn't make you sound silly to people like me. idk, maybe I'm the only one that notices things like that.

On topic, here's a good site for this. link

Hmm.. Well theres what I want, and what I know will never be up there. (And is not even worth praying for)

Heres to hoping any Parasite Eve makes it up there sooner rather than later.

But what I want more than anything is Ultimate Fighting Championship! Woo!

Still.. Parasite Eve for the win..

Because the original post was asking about games in the PSP library which were formerly released on UMD, and now the Go owners are waiting for some of those other older titles to be released so that they can play them too (e.g. "Dissidia" and "CCore" were not available at launch, making a lot of Final Fantasy fan/Go Owners wonder when exactly two of the biggest selling games would be available for their hardware, while the rest of us UMD owners played on contentedly)... So in this particular case, it's justified.

Justified, yes. But I still think it would be more accurate to say PSN. Oh well, either one works, so it doesn't matter.
