Once a Sony`s exclusive game with a XBOX 360 tag on it look just not right or STUPID.....That`s make me worries....Why? I`m fear that all my beloved franchise ( DMC, Kamatari, Ace Combat and others ) will share a same fate like Tomb Rider & MOH series once both a hot on PS1 alone and then goes nowhere when both goes multiplat in past gen ( PS2, xbox,GC).

I wouldn't blame it on the platforms but you make a good point.

Multiplat franchises that become cash-ins for the company wither away from poor quality. DMC is at serious risk of losing much of it's gameplay depth trying to appeal to 360 fans. Companys need to take THQs stance and just make each series exclusive to a platform..... maximizes game quality and therefore sales and fans.

Companies should decide for any new IP they make wither it should be muli-plat or exclusive. Switching the franchise between the two will not profit for them. The good examples you mention were Crash, Tomb Raider, Red Faction, and Medal of Honor.

This is definitely true...and I wish the last sentence were true also.  But a great game on ps3 won't make as much money or have as many fans as an "ok" game on multiple systems.  Devs can get a bit lazy and port games cheap, no? They don't see the franchise fans they alienate, only the millions of other platform gamers they can get to buy their games.  That's just my opinion.

You make a real good point, which I agree with. But look at the GTA series. It was once an exclusive title, but when it became multiplatform it grew in popularity and the gameplay got better. I think another reason exclusive turned multiplat titles go sour is because the developers lose touch of what made the games good in the first place, as if they lose interest in the games and feel like they've already made the series a hit, so they only have to slap the name on it and it will sell. If they were all like Rockstar I think everyone would be happy

game cost so much money that in order to make a profit that have to offer it to as many people as possible.  They could be system exclusives if they had the same budget as the ps1 games but the profits they used to make wouldnt be enought the make a game worth playing.

I think as soon as a company decides that their game will be multiplatfor, they killed they game. After that they focus on how to make the game work on 2-3 platforms insted of focusing on the graphics, phisics and the story. It's very rare that you find a good multiplatform game (Oblivion) but many of them suck (Need for Speed Carbon, Sonic the Hedgehog). I understand that they will get more money out of it but wouldn't it be better if every game would be exclusive for one platform for like 6-7months and than move on to the next?

Bleh....

No I don't agree with you, and remember it goes both ways everybody loses exclusives to each othe, and don't even get me started on all the pc games that get ported over.  Games going mulit-platform make it alot easier for me not to buy every system that comes out.  I'd rather spend that money on taking my girl out .
