im dissapointed first metal gear rising goes to 360 then the mask thing is castlevania and the press confrence their not announcing ****

Quit worrying about MGS Rising... it isn't like they get to play a real game in the franchise.

This is kinda like having all 6 of the Star Wars movies on the PS3 and then having that Star Wars: The Clone Wars movie announced for the 360... no one but the Star Wars fans really cares about it.

Not really. 360 will never get to experience the epicness of MGS4. :P

actually i like both MGS and castlevania series. i have no doubt the MGS will be good, if they can redo castlevania and make it fun then it'll be worth checking out too.

I never got into Metal Gear Solid, so this news doesn't really affect me.

I'm glad Kojima and Co. are making a true sequel to the Metal Gear franchise on the PSP. Of course we want it on PS3, but the truth is, how do you improve on MGS4? He has a whole lot less to gain by making a PS3 title and a whole lot more to gain from making a system defining PSP game.

Doesn't hurt that the PSP has a high install base than the 360 and PS3 COMBINED...

Sony is clearly putting A LOT of money into PSP software development. Kojima must have gotten a pretty good deal for this.

I am very excited about the future of PSP now. PS3 will be just fine without a new Metal Gear game for now. Besides, we're still getting Metal Gear Solid: Rising...

I was actually excited about Konami's conference. A new Castlevania, MGSR multiplat, and MGS arcade. Sounds great.

After watching the trailer for Castlevania:LOS, I can safely say... No. I am not dissapointed with Konami. that trailer was epic

It's not really MGS going to 360, it's Raiden going to 360. Raiden will always be that one naked coward who had girl friend issues during the mission. Making him a stereotypical anime bad-ass isn't enough to redeem him for what he did to MGS2! :x I don't mind him going to 360.

that castlevania trailer wreaked of unreal engine 3. i really wish devs would move on from that played out graphics engine. what ever happened to cryengine 3? haven't heard anything about it since GDC. i'd love to see what someone could do with that baby.

Plus the PS2 and PSP get Silent Hill: Shattered Memories! Could be a great remake of the original...

What is sad is Microcrap : they can only buy licenses, they have absolutely no creative spirit and can't motivate people to be creative for them, as their only relationship with people is money and power.

So I think Kojima played them well, he gives them an action game in the world of MGS, he said in Sony conference that MGS PW on PSP is the next game in the licence (so MGS Rising is not) and he and the MGS4 team will produce this game (thus not working on MGS R) and he will personnally produce and write the story of MGS PW (so not MGS R).

I'm not disappointed with him, I can't forget the four MGS games that pretty much gave me many years of one of the most memorable moments in gaming.

I'm very exited for Peace Walkers since it's set in Metal Gear Solid series and we will enjoy the story once again.

I don't know how Rising will turn out, I won't pass any judgement on it until I see more information on it as well as gameplay. It's hard for me to imagine Metal Gear Solid as an action game but this is a talented team of developers. Keeping my eyes on it.

Kojima has been good to me over the years, so no I'm not dissapointed.

Metal gear solid without Snake is not Metal Gear Solid.

Rising will have a great story, there's no doubt about that. But given the fact that 360 doesn't have blue ray, I am expecting a short, side-story like game. If I was an xbox owner I'd be excited, but as an owner of both, I really am not.

One more thing, did anyone else notice that Kojima was relaxed and talkative at sony's stage more than Xbox's stage ?? I mean I watched both speeches he gave, I felt like he was in rush getting out of Xbox stage.. Is it just me ??

Nope, two new MGS games are in the works so I'm happy, I had a feeling that the next MGS was going to be multiplatform, plus the new Castlevania game is looking great.

I love Castlevania, so I'm not dissapointed at all, infact, I'm glad they're making it instead of another crap MGS spin-off. I bet the MGS fanboys are annoyed though that all their hard work deciphering these messages was just a waste of time. Lulz.
