He's messing with you because no one knows. There aren't even any rumors about it. Also, it is usually referred to as a Firmware update or FW, not ServiceUpdate just so that more people know what you are referring to.
So yea to answer your question I don't know whats in it or when it is and I doubt anyone on these boards does either.
Normally, nobody knows when an update is coming out until it actually shows up(there are some exceptions, but not many). Then people go through and try to figure out what changed because of the update. Then, about a day after the update, Sony will update their website stating all the changes.
As you can see, everybody is pretty much in the dark about the updates.
GAMESPOT says there will be one tonight and it will include an update to Folding @ Home...if I read that news article correctly . Teyon
I believe it's just an update for folding@home and not a full update for the PS3. There have been no reports of changes made to the PS3 after installing the folding@home 1.1 update.

no, it still sucks, because you cant turn on your ps3 with your psp, and you cant turn your ps3 to remote play modewith your psp either. so you need to either turn your ps3 on before you go somewhere, or ask someone you trust to go to your house and turn it on for you. not very practical at all.
