First of all Kane and Lynch get 6.0 (mediocre game like Hitman 2 gets 8.6)

Now Viking gets 5.0 (crap like Conan gets 7.5)

What the hell is this? After watching and reading this reviews it is clear that they played 2-3 levels of a game. What os happening to the site that I used to think had most perfect critics? They get payed for this reviews?

Viking is a great game. It has nice battle system, nice gore, nice graphics. Later in game there are even deep tactics when you have to bomb with dragons in battles with hundreds of units.

So what about the people that agree with the scores? Are they wrong too cause you believe that something you think is great isn't? It's a review meant to guide the gamer. It's up to you to decide. You can't satisfy everyone. You'll find that this is true with everything when you get older.

every1 has a write to an opinion, GSs reviews are just the review of one guy.. i know that people love final fantasy, but i hate it..if i reviewed it, i would give it a low mark, doesnt mean i am wrong, or every1 else is wrong, u should just base your impressions on a range of reviews for reliability

true its the review of 1 person, but gamespot owe it to gamers to find someone who enjoys the particular type of game that is being reviewed.

but that would probably be quite hard it seems the majority of GS reviewers are FPS mad so there reviews of FPS games usually get a higher rating than they deserve and anything that is not an FPS game is certain to have 1-2 points knocked of its score before the main menu has even loaded.

But if you did that, wouldn't scores for FPS games be much higher then they would be given that the reviewer enjoys FPS? Then people would complain of overinflated scores---you can't win when writing a review. Like I said, you can't satisfy everyone.

I think most people know at this point that GS gets paid off for good reviews. So some games that are good and get poor reviews we all know why.

I agree, I cant understand how Viking gets a 5.0? and conan a very **** game no where near as good as viking gets a 7.5? gamespot are very inconsistent with there reviews, and there usually off with the Average of most games across to board, you cant take them to serious

Although kane and lynch was **** sorry.....but viking is way better than conan....Although quess who reviewed the game??? none other than Aaron thomas and he just shouldnt review games period.

I really don't understand while people put so much stock into reviews. As you said, it's up to the person to decide if they want a game. Personally, i really enjoyed the Conan game. I'm not going to be so ignorant to think that means that everyone else agrees with me. When did society turn into a bunch kids who cry when someone has a different opinion than them?

I am one of the few who enjoyed Conan and I'm liking Kane & Lynch so far (it's not perfect, but I like it way more than Hitman 2).

It pisses me off when they give a game a low score when it obviously deserves a high one.

Although they probably do put a lot of time into reviewing games so I'll give em credit for that.

I just want to say that with this review they just broke sales of a very good slasher! It is not fare not only to gamers (is you like slashers you have to play this game) but to developers who made good game and now they will get nothing because of one man incompetence.

How can possibly pop out review of a game that takes 2 days of playing IN THE RELEASE DAY (I am not talking only about Viking and Kane, but about many other titles)? Dont tell me that they get game 2 days before the release...

It is great that Kane and Lynch got nice sales so we will enjoy Kane and Lynch 2 for sure. I want to see Viking 2...

I don't care what anyone says, but Kane and Lynch was fun as hell. I thought the online mode was weird, but I had fun playing K&L.

I mainly enjoyed the The Club and Bank levels, freakin' sweet.

I agree K&L was still a decent game, I really had fun with the on-line. As far as Viking goes I wouldn't worry about it not selling well. With all the bad press K&L received it still managed to sell over 1 Mil. Alot of other sites are giving Viking some what decent scores so I don't think 1 bad score will hurt it too much.

I think we can all agree that Gamespot is broken.. their review scores are mostly $h*t and slightly biased for the 360 and FPS games... but the decent thing about it are the writen reviews.. but most of the time that doesn't match up with the score.. i check the score of Gamespot just to get a number.. but i mostly check Game informer (although they tend to be overly generous with their scores, nothing gets lower than a 6 really).. and i watch X-Play..

now i find a mix between GI and X-Play has worked best for me.. also some opinions of others.. in the end you have to trust yourself.. would you really not buy a game that everybody said was $h*t but you were sure that you would enjoy it.. honestly..i read reviews to get an idea.. but i dont depend on them.. if im going to buy a game.. that i know im going to buy.. i'll buy it.. there are people out there who probably love kane and lynch (although very few) and there are people out there who love Viking, and hate COD4... i for one know that i would like Viking .. there fore im going to buy it.. depsite some of the mediocre review scores..

Trust yourself and your own opinion.. Best advice i can give..

I Base a lot of purchases on reviews and scores but if i like a game (played demo or hired) and it only got like 6 or 7 ill still buy it but anything lower than 5 is a No Go and ill also check out the player reviews to get another opinion.
