Most of them are $5, but Hero of Sparta and Fieldrunners are $7, while Tetris is $10.
Not the best prices, but not that bad...
I am excited but I hoped for a few more on the release day. PSP minis Alien Havoc ($4.99) Tetris ($9.99) Hero of Sparta ($6.99) Brainpipe ($4.99) Fieldrunners ($6.99) Sudoku ($4.99) Funky Punch ($4.99)digimonkey12
I thought they'd be trying to compete with Apple's app store games and try to be $0.99 to $3.99. $9.99 seems too much.
Yes, I recently got an Itouch and I have a few of these games. When I told my 10-year-old, who has a PSP, that they were bringing some of them to the PSP, he was excited since I told them how cheap they were on the Ipod/Iphone. Now that I see these prices, it's ridiculous. I got Hero of Sparta for $.99 (it's up to $1.99 now). Sudoku is available in many versions (some free on the Iphone), but even the EA game version which I believe this is, is $2.99. WTF? I thought the point was, indeed, to complete with the Iphone.
I'm waiting for a PSP price drop to buy another one, i'm looking forward to these Apps store ports, pretty much the reason why Ninty made the DSi
Hero of Sparta/Field Runners are cool. Looking forward to a Rolando port for when i do buy a PSP again
Anyone else realise its been about 2 and half years since the PSP got dropped to $170 for the core?
its an ipod touch...not an itouch... and yeaaa, its not sonys fault, the producers choose the price of the games...but as far as im aware sony charges the company an amount for the amount of space they use on the servers...or something, which differs to itunes. ipod touch is a terrible gaming platform, i have an iphone and its great for 5 mins here and there...but its not a serious gaming device. whitelight12
Yes, sir, it is an iPod Touch, but many do shorten it to iTouch. And while it is true that it may not be a "serious" gaming device, it is not a "terrible" gaming device as you suggest. I find a lot of the games quite fun - especially for the price. Believe me, I'm a serious gamer -- owning a 360, PS3 and a Wii -- so I'm not suggesting that the iPod Touch / iPhone can compete on that level (or even at a DS/PSP level for major games). But I've been impressed with some of the quality of what is there.
In any case, I'm anxious to see whether some of these PSP ports are really any better. Remember, these are supposed to be PSP "minis".
I should mention, that while it is much shorter, the iPhone version of Need for Speed Undercover is far superior to its PSP peer (let's see IGN gave the PSP version a 5.5 and the iPhone version a 7.9 (which to me is actually a little underrated).

ok terrible may have been a bit harsh, i just dont see it as a gaming platform...some games are fantastic for the bus stop and so on...but theres not many games you can sink hours and hours into. i just guess i like having a controller. and sorry...i work for apple...one of my pet hates is people calling it the itouch :Pbut its not a serious gaming device. whitelight12And these crappy little Mini games are not serious games, either. So they should be priced accordingly no matter how serious of a gaming device they're on.... the point of the iPod Touch and it's gaming capacity is irrelevant.
Could have bought Prinny for the same price. :(I bought Tetris. Starting to regret it even though I haven't played it. :?

Exactly my point. I play some games on my iPod Touch to have a little fun here and there. Andsome of the games are fun, but I'd never pay the likes of $10 for a minor diversion like Tetris. There are some more quality games that I'd pay more for like Hero of Sparta (which was only $1.99 on iPhone, but worth its initial $6.99 price). But the truly mini games like Tetris and Sudoku are out of line when you can get a major development effort like Prinny.
