Ok, so this game will be about an involving story, so it is perhaps a little unfair to judge it on a 10 minute demo. That said, the demo did confirm some of my fears.
Firstly, the majority of the game did indeed feel like a Quick Time Event. They were done well, but they were still felt as rigid as they do in other games. Also, making me press buttons to do the smallest of actions is not fun, it is annoying. The first time the guy wants to use his inhaler I think I had to press about 5 buttons and shake the controller - very lame. Also, when I wanted to slide between that gap, I had to press and hold 4 buttons - it was like playing twister with my hand... and totally pointless... why not let me just automatically slide through like in Uncharted 2..
The demo also failed to show and real branching paths, with the exception of the fact when you speak to the woman, one option results in you getting more information from her, but the game soon jumps back to the main path. And the option that you have to select to get this information???... It's "TRICK"... i mean, what does that even mean? A lot of the options you make are not clear until you have actually made them - when I clicked on Trick, for all I knew he was going to shout "LOOK BEHIND YOU!!!".
Graphically it's nice, but given the lack of interactivity, I would have expected better, There are occasional framerate stutters and the screen does tear on a few occasions. The walking controls take some getting used to as well, but it is not broken.
But all that said, the game MIGHT, just MIGHT, get away with all this, if A) it can give us a great story... B) give us REAL branching paths and make us feel like we are really part of an evolving world. I will give it another shot when the game gets released, albeit a rental.

Its like saying why do i feel i am using my controller while playing uncharted 2 and its feels rigid. ARE YOU OKK?

i think you must be a guy who has no brains and no sense of observing music and atmosphere. A guy who just wants to shoot and kill people mindlessly in FPS and has no sense of story or characters either.

Who says that would be fun. I say pressing buttons is more fun rather then just sliding like uncharted 2.

the game is not Just about branches dude. i dont know how you can even notice such unnecessary things and ignore the mind blowing gameplay , mucis, graphics and sound. What does Trick mean? go to Dictionary.com i think you didnt study in school. And for the branches why dont you grow some in your room. Trees and stuff you know.
The TrueSpin odd guy says: " Graphically it's nice, but given the lack of interactivity, I would have expected better: What ? given the lack of interactivity. what do you mean. there are so many things to interact. I even say the Fridge by interacting with it. Knocked each and every door in the sleazy place. Did you reallly played Heavy rain demo????
The TrueSpin odd guy says: "But all that said, the game MIGHT, just MIGHT, get away with all this" LOL . Really. I am expecting a 9.5 on gamespot . A 9 at worst. Not below that. You can keep your hope with yourself. we dont need them.
And why dont you just go and implement all these things in a Heavy Rain wanna cheap a ss game Crap them since i dont want it to be changed. its PERFECT.
