Last Gen, I used to like a certain type of game (RPG, Acton/Adventure). But lately it just seems there are too many games to keep track of. Games like Fallout 3 and Prince of Persia all look to be great games that I have got to play.

But there are also games like Littlebigplanet, Dead Space, and other new IP that I don't want to let fall under my radar. I mean, I used to hate shooters, but now I love them. I used to hate sports games, but now I love them (NBA 2K9 FTW!!)

I can't help feel a little bit overwhelmed. Anyone else have this problem?

I was the same way. I used to only play RPGs and Action/Adv. games. Now I love shooters and racing games. There a definitely lots of great games coming out, dont feel overwhelmed though. Just pick your two or three most anticipated games, play the hell outta them and then by time youre' done the others games on your list will probably be cheaper! Its a win-win situation! :D

You got a point, I just have this strange feeling that I owe it to myself to play all the great titles right away. I have to admit though, I do have an addictive personality. If I wasn't gaming, I'll probably be doing Crack or something (not that there's anything wrong with that ;))

I know exactly what your talking about. This has happend to me before, but luckily im able to just hold off on buying games and then eventually I just forget about it. I guess my situation isn't as bad as yours though, cause you're into a lot of different genres. I like sports games, but the only one i'll actually spend money on is MLB: The Show. FPS, im not a big fan of, but if its a real good game I might go ahead and buy it. The games I love to play are Action/Adventure or RPG..their haven't been many RPG worth getting yet on the PS3, so I haven't had a problem with that either.

Now, a lot of games are coming out that im interested in, and im starting to feel the pressure like you are! Hopefully, time will pass and it will just wear off again!

I know exactly what you mean. I'm interested in LBP, Dead Space, Mirror's Edge, Fable 2 , Prince of Persia and the new Tomb Raider all coming out this year, but I just won't have time for them, there's way too many other games I want. It really is overwhelming this year.

I have been through the same type of issues, about being overwhelmed with good games but at the end, I end up buying just the ones with the highest score or the ones that really catch my attention at the beginning. Changing a little bit the topic, things have change a lot over the years when it comes to games not even some of the best games from today cant replace the good games from the past.

I have to agree, some of the best games from today cannot and will not replace the good games of the past. But, you have too admit, we have come a long way as a gaming community and it's up to the core gamers to keep it thriving. Alot of people bash Gamespot and Mods and such but, we get this forum to express our opinions, tastes, and feelings on just about anything.

If we had an online forum back then, I almost certain that you would be able to find this same exact topic, just replace "Fallout 3 and Dead Space" with "Zelda and Mario." There's a reason these games still get sequels today, and it's quality.
