I bought the adapter to port my ps2 and ps1 memory cards onto my ps3. But I haven't played a ps1 game in so long, and the other day I wanted to play one. So I popped it in, set my memory card slots, but neither ps1 memory cards had my file. I got my trusty adapter out, plugged it in along with my other ps1 memory card I didn't port to my ps3. But 1., the memory card isn't showing up ANYWHERE on the screen, and 2., it looks like all my game files on my ps1 memory cards (except the most recent I had played on my ps3) were erased. Has anyone else had this trouble, and can anyone help me with either problem?

Um...I really don't think that's the problem here. I have other memory cards on my ps3. I don't think it's lacking a hardrive.

If the memory cards are third party bits of crap like Intec or Mad Catz that would be the problem. The card reader does not work with most of those.

Nope, it's all sony...I don't know this is doing this....but actually, my main concern is just finding out how to put them back on my ps3. I still have the memory cards, just in case, so either it's been a REALLY long time since I last put data on my ps3, or my adapter is not functioning correctly. I guess my main question is, where is the menu to copy memory cards? I thought it was under games...

Yep, Game/Memory Card Utility, above "create a new memory card"

The only problem I've had with PS1 cards was since they're a bit old and a little dusty, I just had to move them around a bit.

That may be my problem then, I haven't used them in forever. Thanks :)
