I was always impressed by LBP, but it never really interested me...Mod Nation Racers interests me. spazzx625same here. LBP is so time consuming to make a level. I didn't really like the controls either. This one looks like a great pick up and play game. I can't wait to see what kind of levels people will make. I think behind God of War 3 this game has me the most excited.
i thought it looked stupid
til they showed the level editor (i thought it was really awesome)
then i got very interested
This. This looks like it's going to be much more accessible than LBP is. I'm sure I'll pick this one up.

Those two guys needed to be quiet lol.. Also i didn't like the drifting aspect seemed kind of bad.. but i will be getting this for sure.. i was very impressed with how easy it is.. I will have to pick this up.. they said this is a genre now the creat play and share.. so you have lbp which is platorming and now this mod nation which is racing.. i am kind of excited for the other genres to be brought in lol..
It was my favorite part of the presentation. I think it will be an amazing game that me and my lil bro will have lots of fun playing.
In LBP it takes 30+ hours to create a level and none of your idea will work.
This looks beautiful, fun and exciting. I hope the editor won't be too simplistic though. I hope it's not like Trackmania where the track has to fit into the grid. Weapons and sheep seem awesome. In the moment it actually had me more excited than God of War III. We will see.
Mario Kart meets LBP. As easy as that.
im gonna add this game to my wish list :P !!
is it gonna be retail game ? or a downloadable game from PStore??
Like paperdollparadesaid, if this has offline 4 player, with split screen it'll be awesome. To add for it to truly beat Mario Kart, it'll need a 4 player battle/deathmatch mode. That'll deffinately take MK off the top spot because just think about it, like games such as Fry Cry, you and your friends/family will be able to create there own maps and battle in them. Also even using maps and editting maps from your mates and people online, would also be super cool. And the icing on the cake will be playing deathmatch/battle online. That, alongside the others i mentioned, the single player and online racing, will deffinately set the bar in this genre. Mario Kart won't be able to compete.
BTW as you can see, iloveMario Kart. I have lots of great memories playing 4 player deathmatches with mates on 'Mario Kart 64'. There was nothing like it, but if this contains the things i said, then OMG, this will become the game me and my mates play constantly.:D
It looks like it could be fun. But why anybody would call it innovative is beyond me. There were games like that on PC 20 years ago. I forgot the name but you could build tracks with all kind of crazy jumps and loopings. Ah, good times. Anyway, I hope the driving mechanics won't feel too awkward. You know, like the actual platforming in LBP.Truly an awesome, innovative, and, along with LBP, genre defining game.

I agree, it isn't really innovative. Xbox's 'Milo' is innovative, but as your creating your own tracks and stuff, its deffinately ground breaking for this genre. Because before LBP and this, you wasn't really able to create your own levels, wellin these genres anyway. I really hope it also takes the best elements of Mario Kart. Which is like i said, having a 4 player offline multiplayer, with a battle/deathmatch mode.
it may be the racing game I've always waited for : I'm hyper lame at racing, and I want a game where you jusr race for fun and seeing nice scenery around, I could custom an extra long track and just listen to cool music with thi! (hoping you can put custom music)
I am. It looks easier to create for than LBP. This one actually looks like it'll be fun, even a week after you buy it lol.im_mr_brownNah, I'll just pop in my Mario Kart instead.

On the PC, yeah, but not on consoles. Consoles have never really allowed players to do much in the way of making your own stuff, sharing it with others, and also trying out the creations of other people. That space is pretty foreign to console gamers.
LBP helped usher in the now famous saying, play, create, share, and Mod Nation Racers looks to take that idea and improve upon it with even more customization, as well as offering those vast user creation possibilities with a much easier to use interface.
For a console game, this is a pretty new genre, and, in the console space, is pretty innovative.

Yay! Garfield Minus Garfield!
Anyway, ModNation Racers is definitely at the top of the list for 2010 releases I'm interested in.
