[QUOTE="Denji"][QUOTE="JKnaperek"] I enjoy trophies. Unlike most people have said, I don't unlock trophies to brag to people or anything like that, And I have yet to meet someone who does. They simply add replay value to games and I think that's a positive thing. I would've never played through Burnout a second time if it wasn't for trophy support.
To the dude who said trophies are a waste of time- They are objectives you can complete in a game, if you think they are a waste of time then you are in the wrong hobby as all videogames have objectives you complete whether they are a trophy or not.

1) Give it time. You will come across some one. Especially here.
2) Completing these objectives only because you want a gold icon, IS a waste of time. How can I be in "the wrong hobby" if I've been gaming for close to 25 years? Completing objectives unlocked something. Completing an objective that's actually apart of the game, means you actually get something in the game like a secret ending or something. Trying to beat the final stage on ultra hard with only a hand gun with 5 bullets for a trophy icon is just plain stupid. It would also potentially cause laziness with the devs to not actually make something "unlockable" "They can just get a trophy for it!" People are making this into a chore. Trophies create nothing but problems. People's brains explode over leaderboards enough as it is. It adds no value what so ever. You're not actually playing the game to enjoy it or have fun. You're playing it to "get that trophy".
I would've never played through Burnout a second time if it wasn't for trophy support.

You obviously didn't like the game that much did you?
Do you want a sticker every time you finish a level?
Good post, you hit the nail on the head. I have been gamming for about 20 years, and Trophies were never needed fot the greatest games I have played over the years. Like my previous post mentions, trophies are a waste of time, plain and simple, unless you get something out of it.
I agree. I don't see the point of getting trophies unless it gives us something for the game like a weapon, item, costume, etc.
Playing videogames just for trophies is indeed a waste of time. But playing for the story is not because you get something in return.
