Anyone else very anxious about Twisted Metal????

I don't know about you guys but ever since I've heard of the release of this game, I've been craving to get my hands on it. I remember for Playstation 1, getting the first Twisted Metal and how addicted I was to that (SPECTRE ALL THE WAY BABY! LOL). I am huge Twisted Metal fan as you can see and from what I read they are fosucing the game primarily on the online aspect which gets me even more stoked! Anyone else as anxious as me about getting their hands on Twisted Metal? Just prey they don't push it back

I will get Twisted Metal if the reviews are good and im excited to see what its gonna be like. Im not a long-time fan (i started with TM: Head-On), but the idea with the transforming mechs is new and crazy, which seems to be one of the most awesome changes :D.

im very nervous about this game. what i saw at E3 was not impressive. could be looking at a major disappointment

The game will be great. Great devs and great first party Sony support equals great games. TM will be awesome. i'm only anxious about where am i going to get all the money for these games coming out in Sept, Oct and Nov.

The singleplayer mode is supposed to be different than previous games. There are still fithteen cars or so, but only about 5 drivers. There is supposed to be different pathways for the story mode or something. It is not going to be the same levels in the same order for every driver. I do not see what is so bad about the graphics. Graphics always take a hit in games with large areas.

How hard can it be to just take TW Black and bring it into this gen with updated graphics, a solid multiplayer, and some challenging trophies.. Keep it simple, The video game industry is so stale on ideas that 85% of games released today are sequals or remakes, Resistance 1,2,3. Unchated 1,2,3. killzone 1,2,3 ,COD1-10....

Hope they can knock it out of the park like they did black,,,but in this day and age it will most likely fail

Your comment does not make sense. You claim the industry is stale, but you want new Twisted Metal to be just like the old games. All the games you mentioned are mostly new IP's that started this generation. It is rather obvious that there are going to be sequels to new IP's. Sony spent a lot of money hiring devs to make new IP's, so of course Sony is not just going to have its new game be a one time thing. The production of sequels was worse last generation. All 4 Ratchet games on PS2 came out on a yearly basis. Sly Cooper had a trilogy. Jak and Daxter had a trilogy. Devil May Cry had a trilogy. Onimusha had 4 games. prince of Persia had a trilogy. Mortal Kombat had a trilogy. Tekken had 3 games last generation. Final Fantasy had 4 games last generation. Fatal Frame had a trilogy. Timesplitters had a trilogy. There were 2 Dragonball Z trilogies las generation. Xenosaga had a trilogy. Kingdom Hearts had 3 games on PS2. Dynasty Warriors had God knows how many games last generation. Tony Hawk had 5 games last generation. Burnout had 4 games last generation. Mario Party had 4 games last generation. Shadow Hearts had a trilogy last generation.

The list could go on for miles.

Sequels were also prevalent in the past as well. Sonic had a trilogy. Mario Bros had a trilogy. Ninja Gaiden had a trilogy. Double Dragon had a trilogy. Contra had a trilogy. Are you sure weren't actually just looking at DN? lol. The videos all make TM out to be a great game, I just cant see it getting below a 7.0.

lol some people are so easily amused it makes me sick... luv the way they completely butcher every single thing about a series that made it great and yet there are still stupid ass morons that will still despite the obvious claim to like it...

I cannot believe you would rather have 15 people back with 30 second endings. Having everyone completing the levels in the exact same order would be a quite lame. If this new game were exactly like the old games, then why bother getting it? The singleplayer sounds more expanisve than ever before. I do not see how they butchered it up. Character development is a good thing.

I meant to say it can't get below a 7, not can. I just feel you guys have got the wrong impression of Twisted Metal. It's the equivalent of saying 'Im an MGS fan because of the gung-ho gunplay' and then complaining with people who like MGS for stealth play. You are aware that Twisted Metal is first and foremost a car combat game ? why all this disappointment based on the story mode? TM story modes were repetitive and this time they're actually putting more effort on it, you wont get more characters to play through but you will get 4 different playthroughs, in the previous games the SP was repetitive but this time it looks like it will be worth playing due to the focus on less characters.

The most important thing about any TM game has always been the car combat and MP and it definitely seems like this new version is keeping this tradition alive, looking like a true Twisted Metal game through and through. I see no reason why a fan would be disappointed. Yes lack of characters is a bummer but keep in mind that's only for the story mode, we still don't know if Jaffe plans on unveiling more of the TM cast for the MP, whether it's unlockable or DLC. Either way in its current state Twisted Metal looks to be as fun if not more so than Twisted Metal Black. We should just be glad that after 10 years we're finally getting a proper console Twisted Metal game.

I saw some footage and it looked decent...I think I saw sweet tooth dragging a body behind his vechicle.....that was cool...Looked semi close to its originality, Mr Grimm looked good as well....Twisted Metal was all about game play, weird noises, secret passages, then Black came and still to this day is probably the king of sick and twisted stories.

Back then when the ps2 just came out TW Black was 1 cool game, And it was probabaly one of the first 5 games to go online, you got this multiplaye disk hooked up your ps2 for the first time and boom, a game soley loved just for playing single player against bots, you were now able to test your skills world wide.............you could play mortal kmbat with a friend in Vietnam......and its all history since then...........

I cant wait for it. Its my most anticipated game this year. It looks a lot like twisted metal black which is pretty much my favorite ps2 game so if its anything similar to that I know I am going to love it.

I'm certainly looking forward to it, at the moment I'm planning on getting it.
