Anyone get Burnout Paradise yet?

I just traded in like two games an some cash to pick up cod4 so I'll have to wait awhile unless blockbuster stops being wack an actually gets more then one copy for the ps3.initiald411

Note that at least around here Blockbuster gets their games on Friday's only no matter when they release. So I just go there around noon on Friday's and they haven't even opened the mail yet - have them pull it out and I can rent it and keep it for like 40 days for $9.25 - sweet deal :) and yeah sorry for that not helping you and others getting the game

since i work at Blockbuster, i'll clear everything up, the last poster was correct as we get the majority of the games that come out eack, we get on fri. that week, also since X360 & PS3 games are like $60 per game, we only get a few copies, not knowing if its gonna rent or not, we might order more if its popular, but due to the fact, most ppl own a X360 or a Wii, PS3 games dont really get rented as much as the other systems, if that helps at all

hope the guys who getting DMC4 know since its both systems it was design for 360 and port over to ps3 so its not going to be same as past DMC games lol

Yup, I just got it this morning. Fortunately I didn't have much to do today so I've already spent about 3 and half hours in it, and it's simply fantastic. The world is put together so well, the game is blazing fast, there's loads of races, road rage events, marked man events, stunt events, gates to crash, billboards to destroy, jumps to discover and cars to unlock.

I was nervous with Burnout making a switch from menus and courses to an open world, and I was especially nervous about the lack of a restart feature, but the game works so well that I've adjusted to Burnout's new style, quite easily, and boy am I glad I took the time to do so.

To avoid any sort of irritation with not having a restart system, it's best to do your best in the race you're in, and if you fail then just move on. Get that race out of your mind and start a new one, or go search for billboards, jumps, gates, etc. Mixing things up is key to having the best time. Don't stick to any one type of event/race for too long and you'll maximize the fun.

I just can't believe how fast and smooth this game is, not to mention how damn fun it is. Criterion really did a remarkable job with this game. $60 well spent, no doubt.

Got it about 2 hours ago and it's solid. Not sure if I like it better than Revenge, but I;ve only put about 45 minutes into it. It sure plays nice though. If you like Burnout get this game.Large_Soda

GOTY so far. Best racing game I've ever played outside of Forza 2 and Mario Kart. It's so much fun to just cruise around, and the challenges are a blast. I need to go hit up the beach for some random air :)

I think it was either developed in parallel, or coded for the PS3 and then ported to the X360. This is not a "dirty port" like we're used to seeing. Think COD4 instead of Madden 08.

is their splitscreen multiplayer at all?

Picked it up today from my eb games preorder,

haven't tried it yet (3 games came at once today, Warhawk w/Bluetooth and NCAA Football 08 from amazon, and Burnout from EB Games)

Graphics looked good, didn't play let my 13 year old have an hour or so and watched him. Only thing I didn't like is if you lost a race, had to drive all the way back, it's completely open ended. No retry, other than that seems pretty cool, online looks promising as well.

the game is amazing i love what they did for the series, the only thing its missing is in-game custom soundtracks but Sony confirmed in-game XMB this year so ill just be patient.

This game will not leave my ps3 until mgs4 (maybe vegas 2 if its not another horrid port)

i dont seemed to be bothered by the no retry like most people, every intersection has an event. If i fail one there is another right around the bend. no retry = no loading = good

I'm undecided for the time being, but when i go to work next( I work at a games store) i might be bringing it home=)

But seeing as i live in Denmark it's around 500kroner = 100$ and perhaps a bit more, so it will take some considering, man if i lived in the states id be buying games all the time=)

Actually i might import this one and save some money...
