A very small minority are released with dlc that should have been on the disc but most actually expand on the game. Is that such a bad thing?ryrulezlike
Im just disgusted by those Day 1 DLC's, or the ones where you gotta pay extra just to play online.Arctic_GrillzI hate especially when they announce DLC's even before the game is out! or when the game's out for only 2 weeks or a month like Assassin's Creed 2

Is that such a bad thing?ryrulezBut wouldn't you rather have that content for free plus a better polished game if they spent another month on it? Developers can dish out content once the main game is out - they have the resources, software and engine down to an art. If they wanted, they could spend 2-3 months extra to what they were going to do and add multiplayer maps etc

I don't mind buying DLC for "the big ones" but it seems like every game is peddling there crappy DLC right after launch. GTA4 is a good example of DLC done right. I have both of the episodes and they really add a lot to that game.
Most people get appalled by such a policy and i know many, myself included, who will not buy such games, especially if they are "big games" and they will wait for the "proper" release. i might have bought Dragon Age, but when i saw the DLC i said nope. :) When they start having crap release figures, they will stop. But i am not against expanding the game if it does remarkably well.
Yeah its starting to get a litle old, it just feels like we're getting nickeled and dimed to play games.
